Wary of China, India offers Akash surface-to-air missile systems to Vietnam

Thats just your insecurity speaking. Honestly, they are not going to spend the line of credit buying footwears. We being a developing democratic country, our success and failure is more open to the public. Its just your perception that it is only in India stuffs fail.

End of the day, we have a system that works and is for export.

Ecuador value their own life, so they are returning Indian choppers. Does India have enough integrity to return the money? Of course not. Has anyone else bought Indian choppers since Ecuador returned them?

With enemy like this, who needs friends:rofl::rofl::rofl:

By the standard, watch for India to offer Nirbhay next..... And soon LCA. The only successful Indian projects are joint ventures. India should only do join ventures and give up on developing things by itself for a while, at least until its ready.

Every nation OFFERS, Russia offers, China offers, USA offers, Ukraine offers etc etc....end of the day we will have to wait and see if Vietnams has ordered this system. Till then this is just talk nothing more.

Well, the important question is: Did Vietnam even ask for it, or it's just India's wishful thinking? India media has being celebrating Brahmos sales to Vietnam since 2011.

Very valid question. Honestly i do not have right answer as i do not trust Times of India news. Unless and otherwise, it is published by some other media outlets, then i am not buying the theory. The entire discussion is with an assumption that this news is true. If not, then no comments...

It is a habit of Indian members on pdf to immediately declare any of their newspaper as unreliable when its news become untenable for them. Can you please give us the list of Indian newspapers that you consider credible and we can quote them?
Ohh..come on...Do not pretend as if you are saint either....

I would request you to keep the discussion on the topic and answer the question instead of getting personal and judging me while you have no knowledge about me.

You supply weapons to Pak
We do the same with Vietnam,
Message is loud and clear.

Ecuador got it for flying their president. You think the machine was not tested against the toughest of terrains before selecting it? besides Dhruv was selected amidst strong competition from Elbit, Eurocopter and Kazan.

I think their SA-6 is quite old and need replacement. Or it is very costly to it to keep it.
The Akash missile uses the basic airframe of the SA-6 'Kub'. Hence my question about complementarity/compatibility (one could make old system viable by adding new radars and command equipment and missiles, by adding vehicles to existing batteries, or one could replace old systems alltogether with new systems, or use old and new batteries side b y side [but not integrated]).

Only the basic air frame is used from SA-6, all other items are completely different hence no chance complementarity/compatibility.

I am not going to debate what Akash is or isn't. The point/question here is Akash's compatibility with and complementarity to legacy systems such as SA-6 (there may be a reason India chose this airframe, given it too is an SA-6 user).

What achievements, when u don't have 600 million open shit in the air, when u don't have 3 million suicides each year, when women felt safe in India streets, when u don't have worlds half poverty and slums,

when you don't have to import basic rifles and bullets, u start to count achievements, before that stop boasting and go to do work

That's why they try to dupe viets and dump the garbage on them

Dekhra nahi kya ? Achievements par achievements . Aadad hogaye kya sirf PR par PR ?

They are not buying anything from India. And they need to critically examine Indian methods.

India has extended a $100 million line of credit to Vietnam.
