"The engineers of Walton are conducting research on next generation Quantum Dot Plus technology's SpectraQ TV."

"Moreover, 28 patents of LED TV are awaiting approval."

"where all components including basic raw material of LED TV are being manufactured"

"The high tech IPS and HADS panel of Walton LED TVs are being manufactured in ISO class-seven dust free clean room, which ensures the quality and life span of the panel, he added"

"The research and development department engineers of Walton are also working on groundbreaking concepts like the world's latest technology zero-bezel display, which the local brand will produce and go on marketing next year."

Trolls will just burn and burn at this.:flame:

Below is a picture showing how the different shades of colors can be shown with the use of quantum dot technology. A TV screen will become very clear and lively with the introduction of this technology.

Please smell the coffee...

Samsung is already the Quantum dot technology TV under the brand name of QLED
And by the way Quantum Dot Technology is used as marketing term by Samsung, while others like philips, LG etc are moving more towards OLED

https://www.samsung.com/in/tvs/qled_tv/

I would for sure like to see what does that extra "PLUS" brings in Quantum Dot Technology.
And given the current price range of QLED tv's, it would be out of pocket range for many.

Don't think Walton is claiming to have "invented" QLED tech.

Do you want to say Walton news is a little opaque? I thought it has developed something that will make other countries envious to BD.

Revolutionary export of millions of refrigerators to thailand...each year....since the 2015 announcement.

Please do not question.

The news report says the following:

"Country's electronics giant Walton has brought revolutionary changes in the television technology sector. The engineers of Walton are conducting research on next-generation Quantum Dot Plus technology's SpectraQ TV".

So, not everything has been made up by that jumping brat @UKBengali. But, See the photograph below that shows the technology has already reached a very high-level precision the shades of colors being so distinct. So, I wonder, if Walton is capable of making a further improvement to this technology. If not it is like I make a new pair of shoes and say I revolutionized shoes.

Its all old tech, just being repackaged in new names. If BD wants to prove anything, they can file the patents outside of BD and actually export the products to see if they can compete with any world standard and demand.

Otherwise no one really knows what is going on.

Such hue and cry was made about simple refrigerators to thailand, and motorbikes to nepal and this and that. Nothing gets followed up for 3rd party to actually sustainably vet and buy in some numbers to say equal-equal or better with other suppliers.

So, @UKBengali should help Walton apply for the US patent registration. It will make both the parties very famous. My question is why Walton should keep on achieving something that is already in the market? The best for Walton is to buy the technology by paying a royalty/fee and use it in its own products.

Inventing shoes is not a very practical way of doing business.

Lol. Do you even understand the terms whatever its in the news "claimed" in Walton's website?

I will again rephrase. Samsung and LG are the only two Major companies in the world manufacturing and doing research in Panels cos its too damn costly. Other than them, only 1-2 Chinese companies and Sony do them on a small scale. Even Sony isnt manufacturing their own panels much anymore. They have contracted it to companies Foxconn and Samsung. A reason why every major TV or smartphone has just Samsung or LG panels on them.

Now one can slowly progress from one technology to another. They proceeded from LCD to LED, then Half HD, Full HD, 2k, 4k and latestly released 8K LED tech with OLED and QLED tech. One cannot jump from nothing to QLED tech. If so, please ask them to share the amount of R&D invested in the tech, how many patents filed with US or International IP regimes etc.

Now its not to say Walton doesnt have done any progresses. But boasting them and creating a thread for this is childish. In Panels even Chinese,US companies are very far far behind. And its a damn costly field. Takes Billions of research every year with world's best minds working.

Is there anyone who can teach @UKBengali anything worth? He thinks this technology is something Walton is inventing and jumping up and down with innocent joy. It is time BD starts making a good application of the throwaway 1IR technologies to go forward. Otherwise, it will remain as backward for a thousand more years as it is today.

Even a $30 billion FDI per year will not do any magic. Best is, go to basic learning, apply, produce goods for mass consumption and import less.
