Wahab Riaz, who put the fear of the white ball back in the likes of Michael Clarke and Shane Watson with his scorching spell of fast bowling against Australia in the World Cup quarter-finals, apologised to the Pakistani nation for failing to live up to their expectations.

Australia almost defended 151. You need a bowler who can 5,6 or 7 wickets like starc. A expensive bowler who took just 2 wickets and talk to much might not be enough.

He is a great player and deserve respect...If you see in current crop of South Asian bowlers, I always miss the old days quality Pakistan fast bowlers of the past...But when I saw the current bowling team, I see your bowlers have great potential...Wahab, Rahat and also your leg spinner Yasir Shah..if i am not wrong are really worth watching....And what happened to Ajmal? Are you bringing him back or not?

Getting a quality bowler is a so rare now a days...Love to see that so many good pace bowling examples are set in this world cup...

My dear losser friend, I can see who is butt hurt. Break your tv, that might help you.
My dear. Dont be irrelevant. Look at the topic of the thread. Wahab did a marvellous job. I have never seen a chickenhearted nincompoop like u... :)

Starc had great support, from fielders, bowlers and captain. Wahab was one man show..

16 wickets in this world cup and with fielders like those.

If Wahab was playing for OZ or NZ he would have had 25 wickets by now.

I doubt that. In those teams, the wickets get shared, there would be other bowlers too, taking lots of wickets. With Pakistani team, he really is one man show.

With the defensive mindset, play it safe approach and lacking self belief, it wasnt Wahab but someone else who must apologize.

There is no point apologizing. Rebuild the team with an aggressive approach and play to win mentality.

Best bowler on our side, and one match he contributed nicely with the bat. And I was calling him our best bowler well before this last match.

He's got nothing to apologise for. The entire team was weaker than usual.
We had Fawad Alam, Junaid Khan, Saeed Ajmal, Mohammad Hafeez, Umar Gul all missing from the line up, I had little hope of them going past the QF stage, and some doubts about qualifying.

The bowling was not bad, not as strong as usual, but Riaz was a real inspiration. Fielding was beyond pathetic, and it cost us A LOT. Batting was sub par on all games apart from the one against UAE. Openers failed, especially Nasir Jamshed, useless player and terrible fielder. Cricket is increasingly becoming about batting, and our batting seems to be worsening.
