Thank you for bringing this up. Most definitely, this has patronage at the highest levels. When MPs cannot even recite Surah Ikhlas, you can imagine what kind of system they will support. Interest is considered a proclamation of war upon Allah and His Prophet Sallallahu 'Alaihi Wa Aalihi Wasallam. If the country blatantly uses interest, what can you say about other things? Salat is the most important pillar of Islam. How much of the country observes it? We need a return to basics.

They can start by banning this filth from cable channels. Every city in Pakistan has one or two channels who run these lewd dances and stage shows without any intervention from the authorities. Pakistan had a rich culture aligned with values and decency, but all that is being challenged left and right, because Pakistani's have set their priorities elsewhere and "freedom" is used as a license to justify any transgression.

Is there any way to stop this? Why this mujra thing is more common in cenral Punjab and sairaki belt aka southern Punjab. I got chance to attend some marriages and they hired vulgar dancers to entertain the male crowd which had kids in them and these idiots were dancing madly and were throwing money at half naked dancers which ruined all good experince. Our Punjabi stage dramas already have this shit vulgar dances and dialogue where actors often make dirty jokes about sisters and mothers of each others and now we have taken this shit into weddings. It gives bad name to beautiful culture of Punjab and Sairaki where great sufi poets came from. It may be entertainment for some people but you have dozen others ways to entertain yourself than acting as tamash been and wasting money on such useless stuffs

What is your problem, don’t attend mujra mehfil if you don’t like. I don’t think you ever saw Belly dance in Egypt or of deserts in U.A.E

A sad reality mostly practice by Rajpoot and Gujjar biradri, they have their own unique culture dates back to their Hindu roots before conversion to Islam....Especially on weddings drinking and watching mujra is essential things for them plus wasting huge sum of money during drinking sessions on weddings is a big mess...

I think our Ulema should pay more attention to this nuisance and educate them as per true Islamic teachings and guidelines....
Marriage is pure religious and pious thing should be celebrated as per Islamic guide lines, further PEMRA should take action against stage dramas where Mujra culture became norm.

This statement is false. This disease goes across tribal lines and is mainly related to wealth and status of some irreligious people.

Also, we don’t have Hindu roots although we were idolaters which worshipped either fire, sun or the moon before Islam.

Pakistan government needs to take strict action. I have never heard of this on my family or those close to me, but have heard it happens.

I am janjua Rajpouts from photohar and i dont see this in any wedding there..mostly guys do dance call sammi on local music of dhol ..elders dont even allow entry of hijra in such wedding because of women there..

I agree with your posts..they all should get rid of this tamash beeni culture irrespective of who does it and where they do it

Its not right to generalize about how women get into prostitution. Prostitution is a profession and like any other, women do it for various reasons i.e

1) poor women see prostitution as their way out of poverty
2) Lust for money or want more money for minimum work
3) enjoy sex and find this work adventurous
4) they are forced to do it as in trafficking

I am not denying all the different reasons I am just saying no.3 is not common coz women anatomy isnt like men! A gigolo might be in the business for no.3 but not a woman...

This part I agree...I have never once seen this in my family and we span all over Pakistan....We arent filthy rich nor village people and definately dont fall under irreligious (partially hypocrite maybe but still religious)
You can see this kind of BS in societies that have forgotten they are Muslims! Or worse in societies that refuse to let go of their ancestral hindu culture
