Why can't they? Think about it, a man is going to invest in a woman as his wife and potential mother of his children, therefore he has every right to know if the girl has been involved in pre-marital relations.

Because a girl who has been involved in sexual relationships before marriage is less likely to be a stable wife and mother. Studies prove this.

No man wants to invest his blood, sweat and tears on such a woman who will not be committed to him and his children. This is why in all major cultures of the world a woman's virginity was given more prominence than a man's.

That this even needs explaining shows how far we have strayed from the common sense of our ancestors.

Why can't they? Think about it, a man is going to invest in a woman as his wife and potential mother of his children, therefore he has every right to know if the girl has been involved in pre-marital relations.

Because a girl who has been involved in sexual relationships before marriage is less likely to be a stable wife and mother. Studies prove this.

the data is about some western country where the concept of marriage is non existent specially in europe and if it werent for tax evasion scheme it would be forgotten as well lol
