According to Southern Institute of Science and Technology, the railway system investment from Ho Chi Minh city to Can Tho city is necessary because the project is suitable with the plan to 2020 and vision to 2050.

According to experiences from the United States, Canada shows that the railway is appropriate to nuclear cities, satellite towns and looks towards public transport.

On this occasion, EDES Group of the United States also signed a memorandum with Southern Institute of Science and Technology to cooperate and invest in five high-tech projects with a total value of $ 1 billion, including electrical style and thermal investment in Tien Giang; advanced tire manufacturing project exports 100% to the United States; antibiotic production projects in Ho Chi Minh city; generators’ waste treatment project in northern and project for treatment of waste into fertilizer in Phu Tho.

You seem misunderstand that 3 lanes are for one way, other 3 lanes for return. That's 6 lanes in total,

It's beautiful works.

I can't help but smile at the shear volume of infrastructure project(s) being completed throughout Vietnam, dude.

The 55km expressway is just a small part of national expressway but it's quite important when provide better access to the biggest city in Vietnam and link to the biggest airport of Southeast Asia in the future.

New highway to Long Thanh International Airport
Project Area and Location
The Ho Chi Minh City – Long Thanh – Dau Giay Expressway (HLD Expressway) Project comprises construction of approximately 51 kilometers of four-lane, tolled expressway. The expressway will will commence at the junction of the Second Ring Road in District 9, Ho Chi Minh City (HCMC), and end at a junction with National Highway 1 at Dau Giay, Dong Nai Province. It will provide a direct connection from the center of hCMC to economic growth areas in provinces to the north of HCMC along National Highway 1, which connects HCMC to Hanoi. The expressway will be a toll road, with access initially restricted to three locations: the intersection with the Second Ring Road, the intersection with National Highway 51 at the southern end of Long Thanh town (near the to-be-constructed Long Thanh International Airport), and at Dau Giay. The project includes construction of a major new 1,700-meter bridge over the Dong Nai River at Long Thanh and two rest and service areas.

The below map provides details on the location of the HLD Expressway.

Cofinancing
The Project will be cofinanced by ADB and Japan Bank for International Cooperation (JBIC), on a parallel basis with each civil works and consulting services contract funded by a single financier. JBIC will finance civil works for the HCMC – Long Thanh section; the ADB will finance civil works for the Long Thanh – Dau Giay section. However, ADB funding will be applied for all land acquisition and resettlement activities for the entire Project, and JBIC will fund an electronic toll collection and traffic information and monitoring system for the entire Project.

A loan of $410,200,000 from the ordinary capital resources of ADB will be provided under ADB’s London interbank offered rate (LIBOR)-based lending facility. The Government of Vietnam also requested a loan of about $ 444.5 million equivalent from the Government of Japan through the Japan Bank for International Cooperation (JBIC). Vietnam Expressway corporation will finance the remaining cost of about $4.6 million.

The below map shows the HCMC – Long Thanh – Dau Giay Expressway Project in the larger perspective of road construction in the Southern Key Economic Region.

Good to see that JBIC and ADB involved in this project. No doubt it is an investment that will bear fruitful dividends ;)

I heard in Vietnam, people drive without light signal on the street? True, my friend?

. .
It just a matter of time before Vietnam will overtake other countries as the second biggest economy in Asia.

I also heard Vietnam's HSR project is on the way.

Do you mean this ?

The city and the building architecture look extremely ugly. LOL

Due to Vietnam's geographical size and the nature of her territory, it won't take much to fortify her transportation infrastructure.

Realize the same location?

It's near the Old Quarter area which allow walking only into night market. Similar to any Chinatown in KUL, Singapore.
Look at the barriers. That's the limit.

Not Ai Dao but Ao Dai / "Áo Dài" ;

You would get a smash by her. LOL.
I just guess, something may change now, because I'm not at her age.

Work starts on new bridge, Bach Dang, a part of new expressway under construction linked Hanoi - Hai Phong - Quang Ninh in the North.

The bridge links the Ha Long-Hai Phong Highway to the Ha Noi-Hai Phong Highway.

QUANG NINH (VNS)— Deputy Prime Minister Hoang Trung Hai on January 25 broke ground on the construction of Bach Dang Bridge and its connecting road.

The bridge will link the Ha Long-Hai Phong Highway to the Ha Noi-Hai Phong Highway.

It will stretch over the Bach Dang River and cost VND7.6 trillion (more than US$357.2 million) under the build-operate-transfer model.

Quang Ninh Province People's Committee is the project's main investor, and it will be built by Japanese group SE in co-ordination with the Bach Dang Bridge BOT Joint Stock Company and other local subcontractors.

The bridge will be over three kilometres long and 25 metres wide, with four lanes allowing speeds of up to 100 kilometres per hour.

The bridge is one of the two main components of the Ha Long-Hai Phong Highway project. The other component, the 19.5km highway, broke ground in September 2014. The entire project is expected to be complete in 2016.

Once operational, it will contribute to completing a route connecting the key northern economic triangle, Ha Noi-Hai Phong-Quang Ninh. The project is also expected to increase investment in Quang Ninh, contributing to socio-economic development.

Speaking at the groundbreaking ceremony, Deputy PM Hai praised the efforts made by the Party, Government and people of Quang Ninh to clear hurdles for this project.

He asked investors to co-ordinate closely with Quang Ninh and Hai Phong authorities to accelerate construction and ensure the quality and efficiency of the work.

The Ha Long-Hai Phong Highway will reduce the distance from Quang Ninh to Ha Noi from 180km to about 130km, and make it easier for tours from the northern region to visit Ha Long Bay. — VNS
