So does China neighbors will suffer as well. Trade is a mutual benefit, win-win solution. But I don't think China will fail, because export is a small part of China GDP. China even had a trade deficit with ASEAN and Japan.
Japan is in a very bad position. Because of decades of anti Made in Japan campaign in the West, including the recent Toyota case, where their CEO being called to US congress for over brake problem (from US supplier). And now Japan is also looking for trouble in China.
In many way, China was very good to Japan. What Japan lost in the West, they gained in China. As some economists said Japan didn't collapse during 2008 credit crunch, because they backed up by China. Japan betrayed China by accepting as proxy for US.
People in South Asia don't understand the situation in East Asia.

I am not surprised that ancient Vietnamese wanted to be Chinese by calling or otherwise imaging themselves as the Chinese. But your second sentence is an obvious BS from 荻，荑，蛮，狨, as your Viets were so eager in adopting Chinese language, which you deemed as a superior system for many reasons.
This was not a singular instance in long, documented Chinese history. Huns wanted to be Chinese, Jin (Qing’s ancestors) wanted to be Chinese. Mongols became Chinese successfully by conquering China, they proclaimed that they got the “heaven’s mandate” and became Chinese in their declaration of Yuan Dynasty. Qing also merged themselves forcefully into China as Chinese. Vietnamese seemed to fail in doing so because it was not an easy task.
