One thing I learn from Arabic. The script is similar to the chinese script or ancient Egypt, they are derived from pictures that tell a story. Very interesting.

I dont think Arabic is similar with Chinese or Egyptian script, but it has quite similar with Mongol script. Manchu script also similar like Mongol, Manchu is basically Mongol cousin.

Great,I learned 5 language but can write only 4,asian should learn more pacific asian language,they shouldn't limit itself to the crude Germanic ones.

Forgotten most (use to understand 30% of newspaper. I used to travel in Indonesia for a long time, speaking colloquial Bahasa Indonesia for daily transaction. It is an easy language)

Vietnamese linguistic scholars cannot do without Chinese, else they difficulties in understand even the most basics -- such as Tryuen Khieu.

The Japanese and Korean top intellect are still having good command of Chinese linguistic capabilities. The most legal documents such as constitution are drafted in Chinese characters, while the local phonetics provide merely prepositions. The Chinese characters providing clear, unambiguous interpretations.
