When it comes to US, China is of two minds: One side want US to leave Asia so China can gain regional dominance, via military means and at the cost of economic prosperity if necessary. The other want US to remain active in Asia to keep Japan and South Korea in check so China can grow economically but at the cost of China being said dominant in the region.
