I'm a gamer of everything. From PC to PS3 to Xbox360 to Wii to PSP and now Vita to mobile phones to iPad you name it I play it. You name the game and there is a 80% chance I have completed it.

My history with gaming started if I remember correctly with Day of the Tentacle. Do you know that game?? Man I practically learned the English language playing that game along with the Monkey Island series and Full Throttle. I still remember the Floppy disks I looked for them a while ago but I couldn't find them anywhere. Or my first RPG game Quest for Glory series especially V: Dragon Fire.


I am not one of those new CoD gamers who bring the name of Gaming to shame. FPS games have destroyed the essence of what it is and what it means to be a gamer. And those games had an element of purity that we don't see in games today although the new Indie games are promising and maybe Gaming's only hope left to preserve the dying gaming spirit that is being murdered by the likes of EA, Activision and Capcom.

Sure I also played Super Mario and Contra on the NES but those games I mentioned is what stuck with me to this day. And today's games are not the same as old times. Today's games are too....Profit oriented unlike in the past where you can feel that the people who made them made them because they love making them.

Seriously play for a while on the games I told you about and you can feel the difference. like literally feel the difference. And you are right on perhaps those games mean a lot to us because they helped shape our childhood. Like Quest for Glory's Drakhmas. Or Guybrush who wants to be a pirate, or Day of the tentacle that to this day I can not see a game as funny or as clever as that game.
Right now Ghost Recon is updating in my PC but my little trip down memory lane made me download two of those old games and quite frankly I am more excited about those old games than this new spanking one.

don't worry about it sure we take jabs at each other int he forum over politics and war and whatever but when it comes to stuff that really matter like Gaming or Music we are better than the best of friends trust me at the end of the day look at it this way if you and I run into each other it won't be weird if we started hugging.

Era, Mosa : Wow me too. I used to love Contra so much. I don't remember contra on what console, if there are contras for several consoles, but it wasn't a portable one that's for sure. It was one heck of a game

By the way, Max Payne 3 cost $100 million to produce! Grand Theft Auto V is pretty mind blowing!
