The numbers I have mentioned are my personal opinion, and are the total number of ships.
I also mentioned these to be as realistic as possible and that they would be "adequate" to handle threats faced.

Naval ships are like not aircraft or tanks, which are required in large numbers to handle a threat.

Yes off course but when you are facing a Navy which already has around 60 Frigates and Corvettes and Destroyers and building lot more also submarines than you need numbers also. This number would have been good if India would have remained to 60 major war ships but they are planning far more which is the problem and no matter How much Chinese and Indian tensions rise it would be use who would face main wrath

Well China is giving 6 Patrol boats and many Chinese members said that it's Type 022 Missile boat... it to Carry C-803 missiles

Why not go for 3-5 Type 054 and Some more Frigates
