And you think that will be enough to keep IOR out of China's reach and India can enjoy alone? After SCS, IOR will be US next target, we Chinese will enjoy to return India some favors that were overdues.

US already has a base in Diego Garcia. India has a very commanding position in IOR, but has never staked claim on the whole of it. All it wants is to limit china from gaining a foothold and is aiming to be a net security provider in the region.
And i dont suppose we have any maritime disputes with any of our neighbours which may flare up hostilities unlike u.
Plus our interests in SCS is economics. We have got oil exploration rights through vietnam, and that is why we have a stake in the dispute.

My family is deep into statecraft and defence. I know we've not been the greatest at communicating to you as a country- BUT I want Indians to know we will not abandon India, and the reasons are quite simple and logical.

India is a country that is not a burden on us, or one that needs our aid or help to keep our mutual interest and security concerns at bay.

That future means checking the hegemonic country of China who seeks to bully and grab lands from all neighbours, sans one that are willingly give unto it. 7 trillion of commerce needs to go through those seas, and now way will we give it up because some ancient map told them so.

We are not seeking to take over your sovereignty! and we have not done so with our NATO allies. Let not the forces of anti India and anti America convince you otherwise. Even the latest agreements we seek are simply asking for a right to resupply our ships at your ports. EVERY agreement allows you to change your mind at anytime, just like with our NATO allies!

Finally understand this, India is source of peace for us and the world. They are never going to be a country that world looks as a petulant child and security risk.
