US to offer F-35 fighters to India

Guys just ignore the trolls, flamers and envy ones and move with the discussion.

No one needs to reply to any trollers.

For your record, we were offered F-18 but we refused and F-16 were selected based on our requirement. :pakistan::usflag:

How can America sells its latest and stealth fighter to a Russian's ally. :bunny:

for your info Pakistan was never offered the latest F-16 or F-18's. PAF currently does not have the capability and resources to maintain a twin engine aircraft also.

Why American wants to sell the latest in tech to India ? Because India can buy it and is a strategic partner for the US in this region. Deals like the Poisdon etc etc are example of the latest in American tech in Indian hands.

The MRCA isn't a done deal yet, and yet you talk even further into the future
:blah::blah:

MMRCA is for the airforce, F-35 is for the navy.

So if airforce takes its own time in choosing a fighter plane, u think our navy cannot proceed with its own plans.

That's called planning in advance...by the way MRCA is for IAF and these jets for IN....

Honestly India is set to spend around $50 Billion in her defence modernization...Someone has to be nuts to loose this opportunity and when India and US bonhomie is on all time high this news should not been a surprise....Watch out for Obama's november trip...I am sure few more surprises are still in the kitty....

Jai Ho!!!

sorry but our purchasing isnt based on one aircraft like the PAF, we can maintain multiple deals at the same time. Unlike Pakistan we have the capability to negotiate with whoever we want for whatever we want. The IAF has the resources to run multiple deal at any given point of time.

Do you know the fact that F16/F18 which are the competitor in MRCA are not giving TOT, and they have the same reservation as they have for pakistan :usflag::bunny:

For the records do you know what version of F16 is being offered to India??? and That's after the fact Pakistan is an ally on WOT and F-16 are the back bone of PAF....If we choose we can buy 126-200 of these birds...How many years of negotiations you had to do for 18 Block 52??

Now let's move on from D!CK comparison and stick to the topic....shall we??

Isn't it more likely they would go for a Russian plane instead.
besides why would India have 3 types of 5th generation fighters; PAK-FA, MCA and F-35?
And the point still remains, that India is still seeking more 4.5 gen fighters, surely 4.5th gens come before 5th gens?:coffee:

BTW A-5 used by PAF are twin engine :cheesy:

I believe its a matter of time that LM & Boeing offer full ToT or not & still manage to win the MMRCA.. I doubt it will.
In case of F-35 for the navy, they haven't asked for ToT, so there's no point discussing it.
