Let me bring back you to reality.

IS NUCLEAR POWER PAKISTAN’S BEST ENERGY INVESTMENT?
ASSESSING PAKISTAN’S ELECTRICITY SITUATION

CONCLUSIONS
Numerous countries are pushing to develop nuclear power generation capacity, with Pakistan among them. These countries often highlight the requirements of economic development to increase their electricity generation. In a carbon constrained world, with increasing global awareness of the risks of climate change, nuclear power is held up as a clean and efficient way to meet economic development objectives while limiting carbon emissions. Furthermore, nuclear power is often seen as a means of ensuring greater selfreliance
and independence from petroleum imports from unstable neighbors or regions. With the recent approval of the U.S.-India Civil Nuclear Cooperation agreement, Pakistan is also calling for access to nuclear equipment and supplies from Western sources, as a measure of fairness and support for its economic development.

However, in the case of Pakistan, the promises of nuclear power generation are largely exaggerated through 2030. While it remains true that Pakistan currently has an
electricity generation capacity shortage and will need considerably more capacity by 2030, there is ample potential supply from numerous sources. Traditional sources such as natural gas and hydro will continue to be important for Pakistan, but increasingly, the
potential of renewable energy will be harnessed. Pakistan is extremely well endowed not only with large-scale hydro, but also world-leading solar and wind resources. The government has recognized this, by establishing the Alternative Energy Development
Board, and has increased the amount of investments in this sector.

With a portfolio approach encompassing traditional and renewable energy sources, along with energy efficiency measures, Pakistan can meet its electricity needs through 2030 if it chooses to forego nuclear power development. The role of nuclear in the mix of electricity generation by 2030 is not vital.

First, the estimates for nuclear development are quite ambitious and rest on the assumption that Pakistan could replicate the development trajectory of the U.S., France, and South Korea.

Second, nuclear development requires significant private and public sector coordination, resting on a solid foundation of government effectiveness, regulatory quality, and control over corruption.

Compared with those countries that have successfully developed nuclear power in the past, Pakistan falls short of these metrics.

Finally, even if the high estimates are achieved by Pakistan, the resulting contribution would represent only 3-6% of total electricity
generation.

Furthermore, Pakistan’s overall contribution to global carbon emissions remains miniscule at 0.4%, so substitution through an aggressive nuclear energy program does not suggest meaningful progress on the climate change agenda.

I hope this will help you :pop:. I don't want to make blunt arguments but i would like to request readers to go through whole PDF link and conclude why world don't think a nuclear deal like India is Pakistan's fair call.

your funny champion...who cares about World we've Nukes we're retaining them we are multiplying them adding them upgrading them..what can you do only show doubts and concerns get angry and frustrated and what not...at the end of day Pakistan goes to bed with peaceful mind..now say cheese..

This thread is gone lol too much crap being posted. Nice article to start with but all downhill from there lol
If you have eyes and you can see who posted the first troll.

. . .
Crazy Pakistani government should find ways to lay Americans off and they are rather willing to lay under under them even flatter and farther. USA has strategic reasons because of which it is coming towards India otherwise Indians don't look pretty to Americans that it is offering them all the good tech and unprecedented deals like the nuclear one. We do not fit-in American game plan rather we are one liability who USA would want to sideline the earliest it settles its matters in Afghanistan. Government did bad by asking USA for the 34th time. Poor shameless government of ours..

.
Thank god for AQ Khan if it was not for that hidden genious in our nation , we woudl have been invaded already with out our nuclear weapons :pakistan:

Jinnah gave us Pakisan , AQ Khan and scientist , gave us deterrance against evil doers of all kinds and shapes

I am so sick of the Indian trolls too. You guys make it difficult to discuss anything rationally... you should go to other BS forums and stop making yourself and other Indians look like fools in an international forum.

I reported this champ guy..

I dont know why India compares itself with China when there is no match between the two.

No no no... You want to know why India Compares & go with China..???

1. Fastest Growing Economy in World - China 1st & India 2nd...:victory:

2. Bilateral Trade Between China & India $30 billion level by 2010:cheers:

3. We Have Border Dispute with them...:toast_sign:

You know what many economists Criticize GDP as a mean of measuring Nations Prosperity. Why??Many Reasons one of the biggest it doesn't take into account the cost of living neither neither poverty and more so GDP was never Developed to measure economy. It mas merely a WWII growth checker measuring Wartime Production capacity.GDP takes every monetary transaction as a sign of growth even if it means sending 10$Billion dollars out of country.Well i am sorry this disscusion is out of scope.

Ok Any Official Links Proving the GDP of Mumbai is more than Whole of Pakistan.

I dont disgree with the issues in using GDP as a measure of prosperity but then there are similar issues in all measures. GDP today is the most accepted measure for economic might of an entity and hence its easier to find data around that.

On links, here you go..

List of cities by GDP - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_countries_by_GDP_(nominal)

Now you may debate the authenticity of the wiki data like a lot of other members here do, but we know mostly its correct and atleast is in the ballpark..

.
i think u should see pakistan GDP first then comment. u can check wikipedia for that. and also first go and check out the pover low caste and muslims that live a life compared to animals in your glorious mumbai.

I think u should.. I have posted links in my subsequent post

"US says no to nuclear power plant to Pak "

Nothing surprising here. To Pakistanis it might not be clear but there government ( Yes government and not only AQ Khan ) have been heavily involved in proliferation. And then there is an ever present threat of democracy being toppled by Dictatorship.

Why would US or any other nation want to give nuclear plants or technology to a nation where proliferation is a very real possibility. On the other hand Pakistan could beg China for the same ( on the pretext of using it against India or whatever) and see if she can provide you with one. Btw I dont think China will like to jump in this mess.

All and all I think the only way for Pakistan to produce electricity is by burning coal.
