I want you understand American speech. Our commanders don't appreciate your COAS. They placate him. They give words of encouragement to simply placate him. Just a few weeks ago the American intelligence blamed you for the kunduz attack by the Taliban. Do you call that us 'appreciating you'? Just 48 hrs ago, Obama said you must get rid of your support for terror groups, and arrest several terror leaders. Do you really think we are kidding, and rather say such things because we 'appreciate' you?

American intelligence blaming Pakistan for the Kunduz attack means what? We take that as the gospel?

Lets do some plain speaking here. Pakistani leaders do what they always do. Make statements like politicians. This is no different than politicians elsewhere. There is a national policy to ensure that Pakistan is not left to fend for itself against two unfriendly countries post US/ISAF withdrawal in Afghanistan. This is why Pakistan is so insistent on staying the course with its policy. The last thing Pakistan wants to see is for US/ISAF to take casualties. That does not serve Pakistan's interests to antagonize other powers but Pakistan is helpless because a certain very large faction takes issue with the occupation (regardless of how benevolent or well intentioned the takeover may be).

The Kashmir issue is only bilateral for as long as things are cold. The moment things heat up, it becomes a multilateral issue. Many times it is the Indians who run up to third parties to handle the situation for them.

It is not that India will agree for a third party mediation even if it is US. Pakistan is for a huge challenge to convince the world on Kashmir. Sorry to say that, but you lost the plot and time is running out for you. The more the time passes, the more India will become powerful and more it will be hard for Pakistan to convince the world to its view on Kashmir.

Pakistan does not need to convince anyone any longer. The GoP and the FO stopped doing that a long time ago because they realized that the Kashmir issue gets international involvement on its own from time to time. Just like the Siachen issue, it will remain dormant and for Pakistan, the quieter, the better given what else is being pursued. Even the most recent diplomatic offensive was in response to Modi governments posturing and anti-Pakistan rhetoric. Otherwise the Pakistani government is quite alright with the status quo.
