US-Pakistan bonhomie leaves India at a loss

Do you know that all of those groups in the picture are targeted by our forces?

I want you understand American speech. Our commanders don't appreciate your COAS. They placate him. They give words of encouragement to simply placate him. Just a few weeks ago the American intelligence blamed you for the kunduz attack by the Taliban. Do you call that us 'appreciating you'? Just 48 hrs ago, Obama said you must get rid of your support for terror groups, and arrest several terror leaders. Do you really think we are kidding, and rather say such things because we 'appreciate' you?

American government has also said you are not targeting all those groups.

Insurgents capturing cities in Afghanistan is your headache, not ours.
As I said earlier, it is easier to blame others for your own inadequacies.
Terrorism in our country has fallen down 70 percent as compared to past years whereas in Afghanistan, armed people are taking over entire cities, it's not hard to guess who is doing his job and who is not.

These 8 jets have yet to be approved by U.S congress, and U.S congress has not been informed about this intent. Every F 16 we have sold to Pakistan have been under severe restriction of use, including a software kill switch.

If you don't mind a bitter truth pill. There is no bonhomie between U.S, and Pakistan. It's a situation more so of a nuisance partner we cannot avoid. Pakistan's support of terror groups like Haqanni network, which kills our boys, is very much front and center for us.

No restrictions whatsoever! Pakistan will use what it has in its inventory in the way it desires. Approval from the US Congress is a formality given Pakistan has already been sold the same platform in the recent past. I don't foresee a particularly hard battle to get the approval if the US Admin does decide to sell the aircraft to Pakistan.

Pakistan does not expect to become fast friends with the US. We have our interests, just like the US and others, and we will watch over them. When there is convergence then both sides will help each other out. What is lost in all of this is that Pakistan has facilitated a lot more than it has sabotaged (the latter to protect its own security), secondly, if the F-16s are sold fine, if not then Pakistan has already diversified.

The Haqqani network operates in the space it finds inside of Afghanistan. Also plainly speaking, the pakhtuns in Afghanistan play on both sides as they hedge. The Haqqani network finds support inside of Afghanistan as much as its ability to move in and out of Pakistan. Lets also realize that if American boys have been killed, it was not because Pakistan forced the US to intervene militarily in Afghanistan, we actually advised against it. Secondly and more importantly it is arrogance on your part to believe that only your boys matter. We have lost more than you and that too at the hands of militants who are proxies of Afghans with whom the Americans and the ISAF have aligned with. So the gripes go both ways. Hopefully things will be on an even keel as has been the case for the past 2 years and it would allow both Pakistan and US to build a positive relationship into the next decade.

Secondly you are not the only ones who have lost young men in this war. We have lost more than you at the hands of militants who are proxies of American/ISAF aligned Afghans. The gripe goes both ways.
In short, they blame others for their failures in Afghanistan.

You openly host the Taliban leadership that foments these issues in Afghanistan, yet say we are blaming others because of our inadequacies. It's remarkable.

You sound like an american indian, a white person wouldn't be so obsessive over a single issue for "name fouling" sake... anyhow don't mean to be racist... and i do appreciate you taking your time to write on the particular issue as i have been enlightened by your view and now see my country in a negative light... not...

We want to talk to stop terrorism, slight yet a very important distinction.

Yes, you placate our president(s), but at what cost to your country? USA is safe, rich and growing. How's your plan working out for you and is it worth it?

I agree co-operation with america hurt us much but i guess you haven't heard about CPEC... anyhow still i am appreciable of all the assistance we've received from the USA... appreciation is of course due but without the back grounding of our interests in the region...

We are safe , & growing too !
Our growth , is another mark of your safety ?
Just imagine if we were not safe , some little tiny , devices exploded already in NY , LA ?
Its us the reason you are safe , because we our self , are against the stupid mullha terrorism ?
& we want , to live ina peaceful world .
BTW why you initiate dialogue with terrorist Iran & Taliban's ?
Why you are dropping weapons to ISIS ?
Is that what makes grow up , & be rich ?lolzz
Friend ,
Stop thinking that you are the masters of earth , we never think like that , but we & all other independent nations, also not think that you can be masters of this earth ?
That stupid thinking has made you huge loss of important lives in Vietnam & now in Afghanistan ?

I've heard of CPEC. I have several thoughts on it. Overall a good for Pakistan, but I don't think it will realize its full potential. I have my thoughts around why.

Taliban has presence in what comprises to be about 60% of Afghanistan's land mass, they largely rule the countryside which is majority of Afghanistan. Hell, they even have presence in major cities like Kandahar or Jalalabad. Why in the world would they need to move to Pakistan, when they have such menacing presence in Afghanistan?

Besides, the bulk of TTP Leadership is hiding in Afghanistan right now, what have the Americans done to eliminate their presence. Its remarkable how ones own failure is projected on to others because hey that's much more easier than accepting one's own failures. Why don't the Americans just admit that their strategy in Afghanistan and Iraq was flawed from the beginning?

When these 8 f 16's money will be taken and we will be demanding the F16's to be provided then I will ask the same question I always have. Why are we in bed with the Americans anyway? Don't act like its never happened before... 90's saw exactly this refusal to supply F16's despite our payments.

One thing that is being missed here or is not being talked about is that by not raising the issue of nuclear weapons and instead reposing confidence in their security: US has tacitly accepted Pakistani justification of use of tactical nuclear weapons as an effective deterrence against Indian aggression. This is an achievement in itself. So RIP:sniper: Cold Start.

Wow had no idea Indians were so scared of pakistan, just 8 fighters and dhotis are wet n soiled.
Well, its not going to tilt the balance, but it will make PAF more stronger. Common sense says that you try to keep your known enemy as weak as weak possible, so that in war times your job is easier. We try every time we can try, knowing that we might not win. However, if we even win 1 out of 10 its worth it.

Stop living in world where one deal and suddenly Pakistan is superior to India etc. It takes a lot of hard work to do that no one single deal can do it.
