LAHORE - Pakistan Jamat-e-Islami Secretary General Liaqat Baloch, on the occasion of Malala Day, demanded the United States (US) to end intervention in the region and pull out its forces for the sake of peace in the region.
In a statement issued on Saturday, he deplored the deaths of hundreds of innocent people including women and children who had been killed in drone attacks on Pakistani soil. He said the drone strikes must be brought to an end and the international community must take notice of the outright violations of human rights and international laws.
He further demanded that the US should avoid supporting India for initiating subversive activities in Pakistan and opined that the international community should play its role to resolve the Kashmir issue in accordance with UN resolutions.
Baloch insisted that the government must take it on itself to recover the missing persons and set foot on the path of result oriented and peaceful dialogue for solving all politico-economic issues.
He was of the opinion that the government should act upon the parliament resolutions in order to get rid of US intervention in Pakistan’s domestic affairs.

.......... and opined that the international community should play its role to resolve the Kashmir issue in accordance with UN resolutions.............

The Simla Agreement signed in 1972 binds both Pakistan and India "settle their differences by peaceful means through bilateral negotiations or by any other peaceful means mutually agreed upon between them", including the issue of Kashmir.

The international community has no role to play in bilateral issues, unless invited by and agreed upon by both sides.

What have I said anything against Pakistan here? The Simla Agreement is still in force, unless you wish to contend that it is not.

But Pakistan refused to follow foremost condition for UN Resolution for Kashmir i.e. the troop withdrawal and even violated the ceasefire line in 1965 , I am 100% sure he never read the Kashmir resolution.

don't mind him bro , he is just loyal to the country where he lives, why should every one expects him to be pak loyal? I don't get it.

as on topic: where ever america goes it's brings deaths and misery more than help. as for poor nations like us we really need to make US over engage with Russia and china and enjoy our lives and show as well ;)

Both Pakistan and India are bound by the Simla Agreement of 1972. Please do note the year of signing.

VCheng is absolutely correct! This is a fact that he has mentioned. But fellas like you don't want to see and hear the realities.

Perpetual denial is the name of the game for people like you. Truth hurts, no? (Or is it a lack of education?) Reading all these resolutions and agreements is a pain in the a$$, right? It's simpler just hearing what these uneducated and misinformed Jamaatis keeping trotting out. :P And following them like sheep.
