US finds action against Haqqani network inadequate
In a move that has blocked the disbursement of the next tranche of Coalition Support Fund (CSF), the United States has told Pakistan that it would not be certifying to the Congress that its (Pakistani) counter-terrorism operation in North Waziristan damaged the Haqqani network.
This was conveyed by the US Department of Defence to the Pakistani mission in Washington as well as to the authorities in Islamabad, according to a highly placed source.
Despite differences over the Haqqani network, the US has been appreciative of the North Waziristan operation.
Some US officials have, however, been cautious in media comments regarding their assessment about the impact of operation on the Haqqani network as they say: “We welcome Pakistan’s public commitment that the operation is and would be indiscriminate.”
But they wouldn’t be more specific about their assessment.
They further say that it is important that terrorist safe havens do not re-emerge in the area.

as this situation has risen before and our operations continued nonetheless so the Operation Zerb e Azb will continue. whether or not the CSF is released or not. this is more or a political move by the US administration to appease its anti-Pakistan lobby. the US military has been appreciative and their regular visits and briefings to GHQ continue without any controversy.
as for the suspension of funds are concerned, Americans have their preferences and some expectations. if they match with Pakistan can do in terms of its operations against the terrorists then there wont be an issue. but if USA wants Pakistan to prevent what the terrorists across Afghanistan are doing then it might never work.
hopefully the American drones and Pakistani Jets, drones and gunships will continue to target such terrorists that are our mutual enemies.

Highly doubt the premise of the article. Such action are not quantifiable and do not have a scale to measure, thus there is not metric. As far as US is concerned, I can't even recall the last drone strike, which quite simple signifies that US has revised the policy (A).... For US to revise it's policy the precursor was Pakistan to go after Taliban(B)... So as far US is concerned, if A has happened the B is also happening.
General specific targets, devil is in the details.Recent meeting of 1000s of Talibanis inside Quetta with no Pakistan action has greatly peeved Afghanis off and even left Uncle SAM shocked at the impunity.

Why so sudden? Do they really have intention to declare Pakistan 'hostile state'? Or just tantrum about something else and all will be fine?
But a single FUK will be given.. It's all fuktardry..@Indus Falcon @DESERT FIGHTER @GIANTsasquatch

If anyone knows US, they might be bargaining on something, they will release it after they get what they want. They have given billions to Pakistan for the privilege of having said funds channelled into sending their boys home in body bags throughout the past decade and a bit, why would they now go and change their policies towards Pakistan?
The Americans are too stupid to make any such moves- this is all talk.
