US describes India as a responsible N-state

Well the whole of Pakistan is prostrating themselves in front of the west, you guys helped them invade a muslim country allowed them to use your bases to attack your Muslim brothers. You even get Defense aid from your friend the US. They continually bomb you, and then buy you by giving some money as aid.

India is playing a good game we get what we want, US gave us the civil nuclear deal, and didn't even get to construct a single nuclear plant, instead the deals went to Russia and France. They lifted the Technology denial from ISRO and now India is doing great on its own without need help from the west. The only country that has helped India so far is Russia, the only true friend if any. US is one of those countries that we share a common interest with, and India is not stupid enough to sell itself for military aid and allow foreign troops on its land. If we didn't let Russia operate a base then US is out of the question.

Its doesn't take the US to state the obvious. Not just the US but various other Asian and European states (Korea, Japan, Kazhakstan, France, UK, Russia etc) have lined up to sign nuclear cooperation deals with India, this is because we are a responsible state.

When father of our bomb ''single handedly'' (wink wink) sells nuclear know how to parriah countries around the world, and then in the mean time an adventourus commando has taken over my country, and then when the father of the bomb is exposed the commando calls him a hero and pardons him and says case closed, and then it turns out that other seniormost nuclear scientist is giving religious lectures on how proliferation is good and will actually help bring the judgement day and researches on how the country's energy problems can be resolved by harnessing energy from djins and when our senior nuclear scientists are caught hobnobbing with al qaida, then yes, we will cease to be a responsible nuclear state and become a failed one.

I think thats a fair definition, thanks for providing that pakistanis, it was nice debating with you on the issue.

I must add footnotes to the definition for clarity

the term ''single handedly'' as used here means requisitioning the country's premier military transport aircraft and using that for exporting nuclear knowhow to countries thousands of miles away and yet making sure only 1 person (normally a national hero) in the entire country knows about it.

The term ''wink wink'' carries the internationally accepted meaning of pretending everybody else is as stupid as the local population.

The tem ''djin'' refers to a supernatural creature (may be used for piloting the transport aircraft, but its optional)

Pakistan has hundreds of million less hungry than India. Anyway how does it feel to be ruled by a white woman

And now an article not just by an Indian but a former Indian Diplomat who knows a bit more than the internet Indian muppets here:

Anyone who follows M K Bhadrakumar articles, is well aware with the quality of his articles.

Like this one below.

Pakistan confronts U.S. Afghan strategy

Indian foreign policy thinkers who were heavily influenced by his 1992 thesis are yet to retract.

A weasel statement to begin with.

The Indian discourses through the 1990s drew heavily from Fukuyama to throw overboard the scope for reinventing or reinterpreting ‘non-alignment’ in the post-Cold War setting and came to a rapid judgment that Russia belonged to the dustbin of history.

Rapid judgment of some fool maybe, who overlooked the military ties India had with Russia post 1990s

India’s main foreign policy challenge was somehow to engage the US’s “attention”.

the 1998 test certainly got the world's attention.

Russia, of course, went on to prove our pundits completely wrong. Russia remerged as a global player and the evidence of it is today spread (and is poised to expand) all across global theatres — Libya, Syria, Iran, Central Asia, Afghanistan, etc.

Is this difficult that Russia in its entire history was never insignificant to global politics.

The main difference between India and Pakistan is that the foreign policy elites in Islamabad — unlike their Indian counterparts — are not inclined to buy into the US argument with a willing suspension of disbelief.

Author clearly overlooks the simple fact. Pakistan has no cast has any chance of letting go of China.

For those of you that can not understand geo political strategy it means India is a proxy unlike Pakistan. I expect a lot of you will have problems swallowing that but hey there you go that is as it is

I'm actually astounded that you take the above article to show Pakistani defiance against America
and hypothesized Indian subservience.

A responsible state could never had detonated 5-6 nuclear tests in 1998, no one would have ever imagine
Its shows clear bias from americans they themselves bomb japan worst killing in history
Sheeeday ka gawa meeedaa
Lalooo aor tatooo sath sath

 just realized there is 30 Indians and two Pakistani on this thread. Quality against quantity. keeping rest of forum clean I suppose

WTH wrong with the Chinese, its just a missile test - one of the numerous tests to be undertaken, there will be a hell of a lot more tests in this year itself. LOL we will see a lot of prancing around by the Chinese Media. Guys gear up for more of the stupid media articles sponsored by the CPC, the only problem no one cares a damn about them - not in India and not in the world as well.
