This is just a guess on my part but, i'm thinking that some sort of deal is in the works with the PAF, possibly with regards to airspace or some other matter like renewal of previous agreements.

Can vouch for the rumor about the sweets. And there are no F-16s or upgrades coming our way. There's nothing in the current Pak-US relationship that suggests that there's even a remote possibility of that happening.

US-India ties will soon witness another upgrade, with India formally inviting the US to set up a base on Andaman island, so there really is no chance of US selling any major offensive weaponry to Pakistan.

Not accurate, Indian and Israeli lobbies are very powerful in USA. Both work to stop defense sales to Pakistan. Why were Cobras and T129 engines blocked?

F-16 glory days in the PAF are over. No upgrades or new munitions will be sold to Pakistan. With rise of China that has caught up to west in military tech......this leverage doesn't matter anymore.
