US contemplating reversal of its Pakistan policy

Beneficial to who exactly? And is this not interference in the internal affairs of another country, contrary to countless UN resolutions?

Simple: Every nation puts its own national interest and benefit first and foremost, as is its natural sovereign right and duty.

It is time for Pakistan to formulate its own Foreign Policy reversal and show the US the Exit sign. If the US will not accommodate Pakistan's national Interest then Pakistan is under no compulsion to accommodate the US interest.

How can the US accomodate Pakistans interests when you cant agree what they are?
Some of you say america out, some say america give us more money and most seem to want the yanks out but sending large buckets of cash.

The taliban run Peshwar, the drugies run Karachi, the criminals run your parliment and the mulahs runs the rest and you wonder why the US cant formulate a policy to deal with Pakistan?

Pakistan cant formulate a policy to deal with Pakistan.

that's a narrow sighted view, what happens after the pullout?
no country except Russia and to an extent Iran can stay liquid by alienating the west. There are two options either you walk away and get ensconsed commpletely in the China camp like North Korea or you find common ground and accomodate the west and stay afloat till the good times return.

said that it was time to shift to the stick. As part of the anticipated US policy of containment, Prof Fair suggested expansion of the US ’hit-list’ to include more militant leaders, greater scrutiny of individuals within the ISI who are Taliban allies, and increase in the frequency of drone attacks.

I agree. Providing assistance to the Pakistani military establishment so they can "fight terrorists" is a futile exercise. Truth is, these funds get diverted to procure and develop more weapons to attack India. I mean whats the point of funding someone who clearly, has no intention if using it against an actual threat ?
