WASHINGTON: The US is concerned about human rights situation in thePakistan-occupied Kashmir and the country's Balochistan province, the State Department has said.

US State Department spokesperson Mark C Toner on Tuesday said the US was concerned about the " human rights situation " there and had "reported it for several years in our Human Rights Report".

He made the remarks while responding to a question about Pakistan Army's oppression in Pakistan-held Kashmir and Balochistan , during a press briefing here.

Interesting how both India and Pakistan hinge on every word a US State Department spokesman says about the region. It's equally laughable and tragic, at the same time.

The thing is ,most of the times the voices are shut down....
The people have been oppressed for too long
Someone had to raise it for the innocent people who are slaughtered and forced to stay in other countries

Then there should also be heavy sanctions on Pakistan alongwith prohibition of third party to intervene in these areas, like China is entering here.

India has taken lot of time, i mean 70 years. How do you believe India is capable to handle this own?

Sanctions? No
But yeah China shouldnt intervene ,it's a conflicted area which belongs to either of us,China has no stakes
