Featured US blocks delivery of Turkish gunships to Pakistan

Pakistan should try to pay to get 12 AH-1Z Super Cobras from the USA and order another 18 of them.
This might be helpful in negotiating for 30+ T-129 Engines from the USA along with spares for future use.

Besides T-129s and AH-1Zs, PAA should also focus on Z-10 acquisition.

LOL its already happened order placed by PA of AH-1Z but banned by previous Trump administrations

As the popular saying goes "Fool me once shame on you, fool me twice shame on me"
Now can we please drop it and move on, wasted enough years trying to get the clearance which under current circumstances both in Turkey and Pakistan was clearly impossible. Till the time TAI produces a credible power plant to power these machines, they will be useless to us. Cobra's are not coming either.

Pdf defence "experts" would likely ditch a cost effective and state of the art weapon system in favour of any thing handicapped if has western origin -------

e.g a Pakistani version of f16 would still perfrom way better in war than a j10/j17 even though it has no aesa ,standoff weapon carrying capability and is over priced without Pakistani having access to its source codes ------- still is "best"

Maybe you can tell the same thing to PAF officials and Pilots who show immense confidence in not-so-best F-16's, maybe these highly trained Pilots and Officials should listen to you more.

WASHINGTON: The United States has prevented Turkey from supplying 30 locally-made attack helicopters to Pakistan, diplomatic sources in Washington told Dawn.
According to Bloomberg News, Turkey’s presidential spokesman Ibrahim Kalin told reporters on Monday that “the US has blocked Turkey’s helicopter sale to Pakistan, which will likely lead to Islamabad buying it from China.”
The ATAK T-129 is a twin-engine, tandem seat, multi-role, all-weather attack helicopter based on the Agusta A129 Mangusta platform and is equipped with American engines.
The US is holding up export clearance for the LHTEC engine.
The blockade could “cause more harm” to US interests, Mr Kalin added.
Turkey and Pakistan signed a $1.5 billion deal for the Turkish-made helicopter gunships in July 2018. But the delivery date was pushed back after the Pentagon refused to issue the Turkish company an export license for the engines.
The Turkish official mentioned the US blockade while briefing journalists on the impact of US sanctions on Turkey, triggered by Ankara’s decision to buy S-400 missiles from Russia.
He said Turkey was forced to buy Russian missiles because Washington had refused to supply Patriot air defence missiles systems to Ankara on favorable terms. The sanctions are designed to deter any country from signing military deals with Russia and restrict US loans and credits to a defaulter.
Developed by Turkish Aerospace Industries (TAI) in partnership with a European firm, Agusta-Westland, the ATAK T-129 helicopter is designed for advanced attack and reconnaissance missions in hot and high environments in both day and night conditions.
The United States announced the first blockade in July 2019, days before a meeting between the former US president, Donald Trump, and Prime Minister Imran Khan in Washington.
In January 2020, the head of Turkey’s Defence Industries (SSB) said that Ankara and Islamabad had extended the delivery deal by another year to ensure a smooth delivery. The agreement gives Pakistan the option to buy the Chinese Z-10 helicopters should the Turkish deal not materialize.
Reports in the Turkish media said that the Turkish-built T-129 ATAK helicopter was still on the Pakistan Army shopping list.
In August 2020, Turkey hired a Washington law firm to lobby with the US administration and Congress for securing an export license which will help complete its biggest ever defence deal with Pakistan.
The US firm Greenberg Traurig and its subcontractor were paid a monthly retainer of $25,000 to lobby for the deal.
The latest blockade, however, is likely to force the two allies to cancel the deal, persuading Islamabad to look for other options.
US officials in Washington were contacted for comments on the announcement made in Ankara but did not respond.

May be you should use common sense and come to the conclusion that a system only performs functions which is allowed by its manufacturer whether its an f22 or a mustang. What makes you think that the evenaglicals will let you cross a certain thresh hold?

.
No problem....

TEI has already delivered two indigenous TS-1400 turbo-shaft engines to TAI, initially to be integrated with Gokbey 6-ton utility chopper then with T-629 6-ton combat chopper (enhanced version of present 5-ton ATAK T-129). Six more engines will be delivered within this year to receive more feedback. By 2022 the full production will start Insha'Allah....

Pak won't just buy some random choppers, she'll acquire a complete indigenous eco-system of 6/10-ton combat, naval and utility choppers....

The more sanctions from the Ehl-i Sheyatin, the more Bereket and Rahmet from Allah-u Azimushshan....

Worshipping Sheyatin and Ibadet of Allah-u Azimushshan aren't the same....

They might have the watch, but Turkey has got time....

The opposite of Sabr/Shukr is Kufr....

The aging Cobras need to be retired at the earliest. Replacements need to occur in the short term. Pakistan should seek alternatives urgently.

.
Problem is, our cobras are nearly done and asking for retirements for the last few years where as Turkish indigenous engine, I am afraid is 7-8 years away. When we inked a deal with Turkey back in 2018, 2021 was the year when we were expecting first batch of deliveries so now keep in mind, we are already behind the schedule. There is a clear need of cobras replacements, atleast 30 of them so its time to get Z10MEs on urgent basis since even they will take up an year or two to get fully integrated within PAA. Our armored strike formation doctrine, which might be using attack helicopters for the air cover, might be getting affected now.

As I and many other members have said a countless times here - WHAT THE F* WERE THESE GENERALS THINKING??? Even a 2-year old knows it was a waste of time, and yet these Generals wasted every ones time and efforts. And then we have geniuses in PAF wanting more F-16s - seriously these people need to have their heads examined ASAP cause I wouldn't be surprised if the heads are full of rocks.

THE DAYS OF GETTING US EQUIPMENT ARE OVER AND DONE WITH. Thank God !

As I said, you should contact PAF and ask them to dump all their F-16's because they are useless and got no teeth, I am sure they will listen to you and not the highly qualified pilots. And as for your evangelicals comment, I am surprised you didn't mention Dajjal system blocking Pakistan's Progression to dominate the world.

.
IMHO, the Best step can be an announcement of a joint Sino-Pak-Turkish gunship project. No need to do anything fancy. Simply use either pick a Chinese system and integrate some Turkish sub-systems (even 1 or 2 would make it a collaboration), or pick T-129 and see if some Chinese engine can work with it. Let's show Uncle Sam that the era of US monopoly over mil tech is over.
