Updated Pilot SAFE : Mig 21 Crashed ! Pilot ejected to safety

I think there were reports of Saurav Jha who stated that on twitter once, but nothing official so far.
No it was from a news reports. But it was mentioned in 1 line in the whole article. So its very hard to collect . There where debate on what is the use of AoA 26 for Tejas etc . It's ok man . If I find I will post .

Sensible review. Hope our Pakistanis friends who says F7 s Mirage3s are very advanced today because heavily upgraded .

As he said . It's days are over . Upgrading won't makes these flying coffins a meaningful platforms as of today. It's done . We have it because we cannot afford to buy and replace them in huge numbers . How will PAF replace 200 f7s ? which I'm service It's like reserve at the times of war. Since india has long borders on both front we need to be more vigilant. So More sorties .More patrolling. We don't have other replacement but to use migs or Sukoi . Sukoi are too heavy fighter. It's a Beast so does its consumption of fuel. We can afford but it's not a wise move.

PAF only has 60 or so F-7PGs, the rest were F-7MPs of which some were given upgrades.....F-7 after F-6 was the guinea pig......PAF experimented with lots of systems.....AIM9 sidewinders, Italian radar, Chinese engines etc....but the PAF knows that the F-7MPs and Mirage 3/5 are long overdue for replacement....not just that their tech might be obsolete but the physical structure as well. So unless more F-16s are procured (and which is why i want PAF to scour used MIRAGE 2000s/F-16s so at least 2-3 squadrons can have their replacements today rather than tomorrow), it will take time to replace them in hundreds with JF-17. But at least we have a full fledged JF-17 program running and expected to come online in due time........the A5s were the first aircraft to be replaced because they were too gone.

Whether Bison or not, the plane's time is over. Short legs, hardly any worthy hardpoints for loiter or BVR engagements, unforgiving flying, it's just not the aircraft to be flying around 15 years into the 21st century.

Cant agree more with you. Fully endorse your statement. Some people don't get it.

thats old data of IOC-1 i give you source that expand the operational radius
the HAL site have old data Please confirmed by any Senior Member on PDF @sandy_3126 @Abingdonboy
My source quoted the Parameters of IOC-2 by An Official Director General Aeronautics and Chief Executive of CEMILAC Dr. K. Tamil Mani

Same source you quoted Said
The nose cone radome of Tejas is another part that is expected to get a relook. “Now the radome is made of composite materials and we will change it to quartz. Today we are getting a radar range of 45-50 km and we need to improve the same to 80-plus km with the new material,” the official said.

Do you know what a Radome IS????:coffee::coffee::coffee:

My source quoted an Official Director General Aeronautics and Chief Executive of CEMILAC Dr. K. Tamil Mani

No expansion in combat radius
Internal fuel has not changed
Payload has not changed ( 3 ton )

Its only expected to reach 80km radar range ( inferior to all modern day 4th fighters )

Combat Radius= 300km
Radar range= 45km

.
Thank heavens that the pilot is saved!

That is what matters.

Parikkar really needs to push HAL to war footing on those Tejas jets production timeline. :o::o:
