UPA's Pink Revolution Makes India World's Biggest Beef Exporter

Massacres happened in ancient times and continues to happen today. Your claim that technology has secured us was the lie which I contested. Human lifespan has differed through the yugas. Plenty of people in the olden times having lifespan greater than 100. Inoculation was practiced in ancient India. Plague did not wipe out 1/3 of Indian population as it did in Europe. India had basic principles of cleanliness, of daily bathing, not greeting strangers and travelers with hugs and kisses and all which contributed to a generally healthy society. The depredations of Indian society after the invasions and externally induced causes should not be attributed to the Indian society.

Plz just stop. You really believe that science has not improved human living standards then u are living in ur own fantasy world.Anyone worldwide will agree on this.Do civilizations get wiped out these days, are women and children sold into slavery openly? How many famines do we have in india in modern times? The agricultural revolution in india that gave us food securitry was brought baout by science, not spiritualism.

Well my body gained a lot of mass when I came to New Zealand.

I later started going to GYM and started adding to that. Lamb is comparatively cheap here because Sheep are abundant. :)

I prefer lamb meet over beef as well. Its hard to get lamb meat in India though, its mostly goat.

No not all are blind unlike you. Civilizations have been wiped out, just look at what the communists and Islamists have been doing to the world. Homogenization of civilization after civilization. Yes slavery is very much a fact of our lives. Just the slave masters have changed, people in most Western countries spend their lives working their butts off paying to the banks. Lack of freedom and pledged to the banks is a reality even today. Ancient India did not have famines either. It was entirely a British made construct. India was the land of abundance throughout its history.

U my friend are living in a history entirely constructed by you and ur imagination. This is the problem with overnationalistic people, they always become so protective of their countries history in every single aspect that they try to justify everything..even the flaws.Even when such justification is absurd.Look at ur current attempt to prove ancient india or any place for that matter was a safer place with better human living than today..this is humanity's best era yet.Deal with it.From the end of the ww2 to now,we have seen unprecedented development.

Nonsense. Never in India's history did it have so many slums. People living next to railway lines in abject squalor is a modern reality. Just go to traditional villages and see the difference of what traditional India was. You are a victim of state propaganda and social engineering. Stuck on to labels and old definitions, you simply do not have the ingenuity to see exploitation nor slavery of contemporary world. Go get your news feeds from Timesnow and TOI and think all is fine and dandy with today's world.

Poverty is decreasing day by day,we are a developing nation industrially and slums are a feature of of that, they will disappear as we advance. As for slums not being there earlier, plz read a little more-even mahenjodaro excavations found slums. As for village being the ultimate form of civilization-plz don't believe these fairy tales. In the early ages the peasant's life was miserable burdened by taxation, socially inferior, illiterate, any soldiers passing by could take what they want and most of all his life and livelihood wholly dependant on rain. Its not that i've never been to villages or seen village life up close-my mothers' house is in jajpur orissa, rural town.It has a unique charm that captures u but can't be realistically said to be more advanced and better for human civilization than urbanization.Urbanization will have its enormous problems, but it drives man's progress.Agriculturte remains the lifeblood of nations, but agriculture alone can't keep up with time.

I am not against science nor modernity, only this blind unthinking belief that everything it delivers is good. I do not believe peasants life was miserable before the invasions and definitely before socialist/communist India. Urbanization is a disaster as can be seen from what Mumbai looks like. As can be seen by the ghost towns springing up everywhere in continental USA where manufacturing has died. Being addicted to the word "progress" does not mean anything by itself. Progress to what?

Soviet style buildings with suffocating grills which look like hell's version on earth is what goes for an Indian city with huge amount of plastic waste. Never before these last 20-30 years had I seen Indian cities look so ugly.

I'm not saying urbanization has no side effects, but every realistic person must acknowledge that without a bureaucracy, heavy industry and R and D centres its impossible for a nation state to thrive in this age.Gandhi's dream of country solely consisting of endless self sufficient villages is an utopia.Villages will always be an integral part of india, modernization requires urbanization to a large degree. Also our explosive population growth is another factor. We need to ensure our energy security.Without heavy industry and defence r and d country would be defenceless.

But the rural system is best. Don't you think it was so much better when we lorded over the lower castes and lived in villages?

:P

You still didn't get it, did you? Everybody is free to eat all poultry & animals including beef. I don't force you to eat as per my liking, you don't force me either, as simple as that. And if you force me to eat what you it, I will force you to eat what I eat, how would that be?

And you still don't get it. Everybody is free to rape and pillage, only it lands you in jail with possible hanging till death.

If it is law you bloody well follow it. It IS law is most states. Time to make it pan India.

There is a difference between forcing someone something and denying someone something. You are denied the right to rape (sex with minor) by law. Get it ???....it does not matter if your "religion" permit it.

But clearly you are too dense to get this simple facts. You are blinded by your own prejudice to keep an open mind to understand the others point of view.

Its not about eating it, its about rubbing it in someone's face. When you know close to 800 Million have issue with it and sensitive to the topic, it should be done descretely. For many people, eating beef is not about taste buds, its rather to annoy the Hindus or stick it to them. Slaughtering a cow in the middle of the road is just not done or mocking people who rever cows is just not done.

LOL..... you must be crazy saying this to the VERY person who posted pics of Beef dishes to RUB IT IN

Not much different from the pakistanis here, or am I wrong ? :disagree:

Most want to stick to eating beef because it lets them "stick it to the Hindus" under the garb of secularism. ........ the concept is similar to muslims not allowing the hindus to construct Ram temple in Ram Janmabhoomi, even when the offer was made to rebuild a new mosque somewhere else. :coffee:

Tomorrow the same logic can be sued to promote sex with minors........ you see their "religion permits it" and its their choice.........however distasteful you find it....... so let us just let them have sex with minors. Hindus can abstain from it :coffee:
