You appear to be hung up by what things are CALLED, rather than by what things ARE.Hi, B.s. illegally occupied area will remain illegal now matter how you justify it.
The Palestine Mandate enjoined Jews to "closely settle" the region, respecting the Arabs' civil and property rights. (The Arabs were supposed to do the same for the Jews in the rest of the Middle East but expelled them instead, and I don't hear any Pakistani complaining about that illegality.) The post-Six-Day-War resolution accepted by both Arabs and Jews called for returning territory to the Arabs - note, not ALL of it - with the right of Israel to exist in secure borders. Israel signed treaties with Jordan and Egypt. Israel demarcated a border with Lebanon that the U.N. accepts. In the Oslo Accords - renounced by Abbas recently - the "Palestinian" Arabs renounced terror, declared their intent to talk about settlements and Jerusalem, and both sides decided some areas would be under exclusive Palestinian Authority and others not. The E.U. must recognize all of these - if they didn't, they'd be an illegal international organization under the U.N. Charter and under their own, if I recall correctly.
