Featured United States 2020 General Elections - November 3rd

Who will win

  • Total voters
    76
  • Poll closed .
Disagree. The problem is that Republican already have a strategy. All they need to do is round up all the minorities into solid blue states while making rural states so hostile that minorities will never move there. They can draw districts such that all the blue voters are clustered in a few districts while having narrow Republican majorities in multiple rural districts. They will also start appealing to self hating Latinos and Asians. They have already used this to great success. They don't need to win it all, they just need to win at the margins, as this election showed. Democrats are timid conservatives and are unable to stop them except with an overwhelming mandate.

As you see from the Congress election results, there has been no repudiation of Trump policies. Tom, Mike and Steve are not going anywhere. 2024 is coming.

I won’t say this is untrue, but the declining middle class is forcing people from blue states to move to red states. Blacks have moved to Metro Atlanta and the Carolinas is large numbers. Many poor or modestly middle class liberals (Whites, Asians, Desis, and Latinos) have moved to Texas and Colorado to stretch their dollars, heck even to Idaho, Montana and the Dakotas. Nevada and Arizona being right over the border from California is prime real estate for former Californians that take a flight to California and work the week and fly home to Nevada and Arizona.

Many of these minorities would have rather stayed in their safer Blue states but economics forced these economic migrants to look for greener and more affordable pastures.

Republicans will definitely try to Gerrymander districts to keep themselves in as many offices as possible. The results of the 2020 census will soon be out and you can bet there will be only just enough liberals in their districts to be marginalized on a statewide and nationwide basis. But demographics are changing 2042 is only a little over two decades away. If Joe Biden wins he will try to get that pathway to citizenship for the undocumented and solidify the democratic base in the southwest.

When forced to, Republicans will cool down on the dog whistle racial rhetoric and try to whitewash the Latinos and Asians and even Arabs to think they are now in the white club, as they did with Italians a couple of generations ago and the Irish a couple of generations before that. Democrats need to also have a solid working class strategy, consider how poor the middle class has gotten due to Reagonomics. Identity politics may not work for the democrats forever, but it mot like it’s the mirror opposite of what the republicans have been doing.

before 2024, there will be 2022. democrats need to get on a tax and build infrastructure plan to lower the cost of living and make housing affordable for young people and working class people. Two years of millions of good union paying infrastructure jobs may help them come back and take the senate. Democrats should also be bold and literally rebuild their base as they help America “Build Back Better.”

The way Trump's majorities in WI, MI, PA, GA and elsewhere last night--my last message was 130 am Eastern Time before going to sleep--to him losing the ground since then will be largely traced back to the black dominated cities like Atlanta, Detroit, Philadelphia... These turnarounds are being watched with anger--and anger from a community of America which thinks that 'we build this country but look these welfare people stealing even our votes'.
By looking at the vote counts, almost half of America worships Trump and detests the other side. This will not be accepted like in the old days.

Looks like biden has won it. Good for china.

In the short term yes. In the long term, you will see the “Adults” return to lead all the undermanned state department posts left vacant under Trump. Expect alliances to be strengthen and the ground work to be laid for a slow encirclement of China. After Biden we may get a President Pompeo, who is a real China Hawk, and he may really start to tighten the noose around China, like Reagan did to the Soviet Union.

Trump is getting real desperate, asking the Supreme Court to intervene in PA to stop counting remaining votes while at same time claiming victory in PA. Also Trump supporters pretending to be poll watchers trying to storm Detroit vote counting location and police preventing them.

Biden has 60K lead with 99% of votes counted in Michigan.
..
..

Trump campaign adviser deletes her tweet claiming PA as a victory for Trump. They likely have data that Biden surge could be coming soon in PA and can flip it like Michigan.
more like the establishment(court-military) made it clear that such stupid claims will not be tolerated
had this been Pakistan we would have shouted martial law..martial law..
Trump at serious risk of losing Georgia.
probably he will pull it off very narrowly but yes
but Pa he will probably also loose in edition to nevada giving joe biden about 290

If Biden takes the seat, the 1st year will be to recover from this COVID mess and 2nd-3rd years would be the plan to encircle China and Iran. It will be back to old play book.
@Meengla

This would've been the time to buy stocks also, with Biden it'll most likely shot up --
I put approx. 70K into the market banks and other financials should have a nice 40% on some of the stocks.
Tom Cotton, Steve Bannon, John Bolton, Mike Pompeo, Marco Rubio, Marjorie Taylor Greene, Lauren Boebert.

2024 is coming. This is just the beginning.

Their all idiots

What would placate them? Most must know they are losing the demographic battle, but it’s not like they don’t have a wealth and quality of life advantage over minorities average.

Would major infrastructure and jobs training programs in their areas that improved their financial prospects and cut their costs of living accommodate their feeling of losing opportunities to the minorities?

Or do they want a culture shift from the minorities; more assimilation into the “established American culture”; English language education requirements, etc.?

The white majority may have managed America through its rise, but most of, especially the south, was build on the back of slave labor. Now these descendants of slaves are voting in the relatively free and fair system given to them.

BTW, stay safe. You may have voted Trump but people you don’t know on the street won’t know that and will just see another “democrat loving” minority. The next 6-12 months maybe the most dangerous period.

I agree it will probably come to a 290 (maybe 306 if he gets Georgia) victory for Biden.

Doubt Biden will go hard against China during his entire term. Dealing with the economic recovery after Covid, expect the Chinese to threaten to sell their over a $trillion dollars of treasuries if Biden doesn’t ease up on China. It will be back to the days of Obama and detente with China.

What will be the impact of a Biden Presidency on Pakistan?

Won't happen. Trump was only able to get anti-Chinese policies regarding Huawei passed by direct threats and bribes, and even here, the policies could not even stop Huawei from making a profit.

It's not like Obama didn't try the slow and steady alliance encirclement technique. He did, and it failed. By 2024 China may have already surpassed US in GDP nominal or gotten within 90%, while Trump already put Chinese government and companies on alert so any new aggression will be even less effective.

Soviets were 40% of US GDP, far less global trade, equal population, lower economic growth, far behind in every tech and directly bordered US allies with bases. China has none of these problems.

Man, you are young ABCD and raking in money, making me jealous! I have committed $90k to buy a property in Pakistan and a chunk of that already is there. And the less I say about that the better. Enough grief. Good luck to you.

To get those answers you'd have to go into some White Nationalist websites. I can't speak on their behalf but will say that every ethnicity would feel threatened if they foresee themselves turning to minority or losing power. It's in human nature. An example closer to home is Indians kicked out of some African countries some decades ago or the white people kicked out of Zimbabwe... I don't want to derail the topic but my worldview is a world without borders--but after ensuring that there is much better distribution of wealth in the world and on a manageable pace. A dream? No. We will get there. Slowly but surely.

Anyway, a new dawn is upon America and upon the world with the Biden victory. And as I had said very early on in this thread: I will not be sad if Biden wins.

If you need any help my close relative is in Lahore and a big property dealer, I can connect you to him.

According to some reports, republican leaders are pressurizing Trump to concede for the good of the country

LOL, democratic voting fraud is being exposed. Amy coney Barett is a Supreme court Justice now. Votes in Wi, MI, GA and NC will be all recounted. Massive fraud happened where unregistered votes were counted. Trump has won. Game over for Biden. You visionaries are wrong.

Still not over yet and things are really tight. Not sure why Fox gave Biden Arizona?! Very strange as CNN has been very careful calling only the sure states and Biden's lead in Arizona is actually shrinking. So it's actually a really tight race going into its final push here.

Also, Biden is ahead in the popular vote by 3.5 million votes.
