I think before Indian navy ( & IN possess no threat to middle eastern countries), Saudi's immediate concern is Iran and to contain Iran. How will pakistan play its role between both of them ? Any hint as Pakistan wants friendsly relationship with both of them

and the aircraft carrier is just sitting there for show right?

Sorry, You were never in the race. Indian Navy outrank even combined might of all other Asian IOR Navies by a wide margin.

Only USN is stronger than Indian Navy in Indian Ocean.

Hence why he stated, "we need to build our navies".

We have been having aircraft carrier since past 3 decades, i don't think any middle eastern country felt threaten because of it
