What's new

Unfair 20 years retired generals chairmans of SUPARCO

Military people heading SUPARCO is the worst thing that happened to our space ambitions. Wait, did we have any space ambitions to begin with?
We did.. We sent a rocket to space 8 years before ISRO was even formed.. but after nuclear programme it has been involved in missile development and getting sanctioned...
pakistani andh bhakts will shut us up on the name of patriotism. but truth is an ex general can be a defense consultant or security officer after retired . he can not be head of airline head of space agency head of CPEC type projects head of gov funded schemes or embassidor of FO to other country . its unfair practice must be stopped
Airline k ilawa baaqi sab pe mutafiq hu bahi..

stupidity of blind patriotism

if ex military was so nice why military just let him go ? more stupidity what an aeronautical guy have to do with running a space agency ? is he going to sit in shuttle and fly ?

i think most here are just teen kids dont know how hard it is to earn the specialty in job .

No PM/President has paid much attention to it. During Musharraf term, couple of projects were started. Some took off, while others got cut due to lack of funding. Current state of SUPARCO is because not lot of funds are allocated. I think in the last budget, something like $20million was allocated to SUPARCO.

If SUPARCO comes up with something worthwhile, the Government will fund them. You're expecting too much from an ex Gen who has a mere Bachelor in Aeronautical or Mechanical engineering, not even Aerospace. Does he even know how to kickstart projects for a space programme effectively, and what they mean for a country, does he have any experience at all?
Moronic logic

1 First nearly all of those major generals were aeronautical engineers and had necessary knowledge about their jobs

2 If just being from military made SPARCO fail then wonder why NASA is the most successful space organization in the world with all these military guys as its administrators

Asronautical Engineers are concerned with vehicles that fly within the Earth's atmosphere. This is a space you agency, you twit.

And it's handed it to a person who has a Bachelors, with no experience in the space industry, and a person who probably can't even tell us 5 benefits of a space programme to a country. The only thing he has done is maintained fighter jets, and you're putting him in charge of a space program. Just amazing.

NASA may have military officials but only from the USAF who have frequently been developing air vehicles designed to go at extreme altitudes of the atmosphere, and go at extreme speeds, this is relevant in a space industry. USAF colleges also producd graduates and phDs.

They made a fatal mistake of underestimating the power of social media, and did not control it to please their foreign masters. Now, everyone in Pakistan, even a kid, knows that these people are corrupt and blood suckers. Unknowingly they have unleashed a tsunami which they cannot stop, and with time they will be swept away like garbage.
The thing is you can add this as a separate subject in curriculums across the country but nothing will come out. As the only progressive institute functional in the country, it will always have a head start in such things.

Sparco problem is its budget and lack of interest of government in space program

Make Neil Armstrong head of Sparco and it would still be a shitty organization with zero achievements

Lagta hai aaj tum nai kachi pi li hai
will you say same if a civil engineer / physicists / airline pilot / admin / became a general in army air force ? a diplomat deploy him and rare admiral ???????????

They became president by winning election bro.
Exactly İ know and that's what İ have been advocating for. But khooni liberals and every anti Pakistan element will demonise them while they are running for elections legitimately even.

Its this hatdharmi of army which caused navy and air force to come up with their own respective director generals for media affairs like dgpr navy and dgpr air force . Which makes me wonder what does the i.s stands in the i s.p.r ?

bhai itnay kyon chaatnay hain? jo jis ka kaam hai woh karay toh bhetar hai na!

PM fauji,President fauji, huur dept ka head fauji, aik rank neechay fauji phir ya boltay hain civilian kaam nai kartay, huur jagah khud bethay hain aur kaam bc civilian karian!

think until us "civilians" are able to meet the same required mark of education, professionalism and integrity that ex military officers can meet, we need to (bluntly put), shut the hell up and let them do their jobs.

aap may itna tapbarr hay to aap un say compete kar kay dikha dain...civilians ka topi dramay say ji bhar ta nahi hay aur phir uppar say yeh rolla kay military officers inki jobs lay ja tay hain...
wardi education bhi head kar chuki hai! konsa tesla banna liye inho ney?

Can't fault them when people are content with Bahria being run by ex-servicemen. The issue runs deep in Pakistani society and is not limited to public institutions. Retired majors are hired in private companies as admin to keep uncivilized employees in line.

That said, education plays a huge part in building the overall psyche of the nation; and sadly, schooling system in Pakistan remains steadfast on rote learning than applying logic and empathy to guide their decisions.

not like you have many options except for the masses taking in a deep breath & meeting the professional & educational requirements. if the civilians can't pull that off then they are better off just shutting up & letting ex military officers do what they can't do. if the ex military officials didn't give you tesla, well it's not like the civilians have produced any elon musks either...so we should stop whining like soiled brat and start proving ourselves.

there is another issue here . how can state give jobs to same guys again and again while young people with degrees working on shops or doing delivery boy jobs ? ye pakistan kisi ke baap ka hai kya ???? kuch to sharam karo . state should be mother of every citizen .
