Understanding the root causes of problems in Pakistan

TALIBAN is a REACTION not a 'sect' or 'ethnic group'. Reactions are always equal to the preceding actions and are mostly senseless & extreme. If we are going to ignore the social diseases in our country, a lot of people will just join the TALIBS or even if you send in CHE GUEVERRA.

Hon sir,

You are welcome to what you believe and you have a right to so. Your initial post was stand of Imran Khan verbatim. You even quoted the Gold mine from PTI website.

Firstly, don’t know why you mentioned the goldmine. It requires an investment of $200-million before you can get any gold out of it. Do you mean to say that since GOP neither has $200-million to spare nor the required technical know, we should leave the copper and gold under ground for ever? At least this is the inference I get, since you call an agreement to develop the mine as “sale of asset” by corrupt rulers.

Secondly when you call Taliban a reaction. Why is it a reaction to elitism? Why not a reaction of the retrogressive forces being unable to gain power for so long. Or a result of faulty ISI strategy of looking for strategic depth in Afghanistan thru exploiting ignorant madarassah students love of extremist Islam.

IMO when you call Taliban a reaction, it can only be that it was reaction to the infighting of the Mujahideen groups for power in Afghanistan. Taliban won in Afghanistan with open support of ISI and GOP. It was only after the defeat in Afghanistan that most of the Taliban took refuge in Pakistan and found it easy to pray on the naïve Islam loving tribals. Swat Taliban is a reaction of the highly biased media coverage which made heroes out of Lal Masjid thugs. Biggest media terrorist and Taliban lover Hamid Mir in his article published in the Jang on May 7, 2009 say that Fazlullah gathered a Lashkar in Swat to help Lal Masjid mob. It was Sufi Mohamed who wanted Nizame Adl in Swat, not his Taliban son in law Fazlullah.

Taste power is corruptive and now Taliban have declared that they want to take over Pakistan. You however still insist on calling it a reaction to class differences when Taliban themselves proclaim otherwise. Malicious elitist cricketers turned politicians are trying to exploit this situation by calling it a reaction to elitism. This is incorrect. Imran Khan is himself elitist. He went to Aitcheson, most elitist school in Pakistan. He wrote in his book that Ian Bothom (from humble background) lacked class, he hob knobbed only with the very rich and eventually married the daughter of billionaire! Isn’t the height of hypocrisy that he is now calling Taliban a reaction to class divide and managing to persuade naïve educated young man to believe it too!

Let me honestly clarify that I am no member of PTI or I have not even visited there website till at this right moment.
Regarding CHAGAI GOLD & other resources , I am witness to certain terms at which mineral exploration contarcts are sold off.
If going to schools like AITCHISON & FOREIGN DEGREES classify one as elitist....then you can place me in that category. TALIBAN started as a spark which in my opinion was a 'vigilante' action by MULLAH OMAR & company but was welcomed by a major chunk who were oppressed by lawlessness. The term TALIBAN is now being borrowed by any militant organization just to colour it.
But I believe in the class divide theory, which is the root of all ills. There is nothing wrong with being 'wealthy' but if the same wealth & connections insures that an elitist gets away with even murder then in long term it has its repercussions in the society. Read a year back that the IG PRISONS of PUNJAB openly said that more then 70% of JAIL inmates are those who have fake cases and cannot afford to buy right connections. We need to wake up & realise whats wrong within us and figure out how to remove them or we are just going to see the senseless violence grow more.
Someone once said: 'Take away a man's hopes & aspirations. Feed him sorrow & you will get a 'beast'
