Unconfirmed reports, Hakimullah Mehsud, succumbs to his injuries

Batman doesn't understand the difference between afghan uzbeks of the N.A. and uzbek islamists of the IMU out of Uzbekistan like Yuldashev/Khojayev. When you read or hear stories of uzbeks in FATAville, it's invariably these cats.

IMU was formed by Juma Khojayev (A.K.A. Namangani) and Tahir Yuldashev and fought from taliban territory in Afghanistan against Kyrgyzstan in 1999 and 2000 but were kicked out of A-stan in 2001 by the U.S. and fled into Waziristan.

They are mercenaries, alright, but islamist mercenaries for hire and men without a country, whatever's left of them.

Thanks.:usflag:

Shaktoi village basically is on the border area of SW & NW. It lies inside the SW region, but its a Mehsud tribe controlled area. Mehsuds live in this area, so its not confirm that Gul Bahadur or the other dude are giving protection to him in their area.

Shaktoi wasn't on the hit list of the drones up til now.

AND

The big catch is, if you guys remember in November last, the number 17 most wanted TTP commander, Abdullah Shah Mehsud with US$120,000 reward money got captured from Tank.

Guess what??

He was from Shaktoi and was the Area Commander of Shaktoi.

So after his capture, we started to see attacks happening in Shaktoi, must have provided tons of info which led to these drone strikes.

Shaktoi region is not under Taliban, its under TTP control.

So cut short the suggestions that Gul Bahadur or Nazir are giving protection, this is TTP stronghold.

there were 100 vehicles full of militants at his funeral - similar scenes were seen at BM funeral - so most-likely HM is now ******* in hell :flame:

Any news source reporting this?

One of the only reported source states that an elder attended his funeral on Thursday.

TTP Mehsud group may be joined Gul Bahadar ,Nazir and Haqqani groups , that may be reason they stopped targeting PA/ISI in different cities.

I hope the other terrorists in Pakistan and Afghanistan follow Hakeemullah Mehsud.

No the mess started when western money started to flood afghanistan and military planes started to transport drugs and drop them in eastern europe.

I presume U were on those planes since you have first hand information ?

Batman what would this forum do without your outlandish theories ?

ISLAMABAD: The Pakistani Taliban on Sunday denied fresh rumours that their chief Hakimullah Mehsud is dead, while the army said it was investigating as reports re-emerged that he was killed by US drone missiles.

Speculation about the warlord's death first surfaced after a January 14 bombing by unmanned US spy planes in Taliban stronghold North Waziristan, but within days Mehsud released two audio statements denying his demise.

Security sources said at the time that he may have been wounded, and on Sunday local television stations carried a report that he had been buried.

"I don't have the confirmation, my sources have not confirmed it, whether he is dead or alive," chief military spokesman Major General Athar Abbas said, adding that they were investigating the report.

Taliban spokesmen had earlier this month admitted that Mehsud was in the Shaktoi area where the drones hit, but said he left about an hour before the strike. US officials said they had no information about his reported death.

The chief Taliban spokesman again Sunday dismissed the reports.

"Hakimullah is alive and safe. The purpose of stories regarding his death is to create differences among Taliban ranks, but such people will never succeed," Azam Tariq told a foreign news agency by telephone from an unknown location.

"People who are saying that Hakimullah has died should provide proof of it -- we have already proved that he is alive and we have provided two audio tapes of him to all the media."

Mehsud assumed leadership of the Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan (TTP), blamed for the deaths of thousands of people in attacks, after his predecessor, Baitullah Mehsud, was killed in a US drone strike in August last year.

The TTP denied Baitullah Mehsud's death for weeks, apparently amid fierce infighting over who would succeed him.
