ISLAMABAD, Jan 11 (APP): Minister for Information and Broadcasting Dr Firdous Ashiq Awan on Wednesday expressed the confidence that unannounced loadshedding from the country would end soon.During the press briefing after the Federal Cabinet meeting, she said the committees formed on energy crisis are working to overcome the prevailing situation.The government is giving Rs. 25 billion subsidy on electricity every month, which would help add 1200 megawatt electricity in the national grid, the minister said.Dr Firdous said that Minister for Petroleum and Natural Resources Dr. Asim Hussain apprised the federal cabinet about his visit to Qatar and negotiations regarding import of Liquified Natural Gas (LNG).

Actual problem is not capacity but circular debts and poor governance. Govt. don't pay to IPPs, IPPs don't pay to Oil Supplier.

31 december 2010 any one remember.... this is lowest piece of cr@9 she needs a wake up call nobody cares and listen.. like hell people would believe this fat @#$$% load shedding is not going to end as long as this government stays bcz they will never pay the companies and keep taking the $$$$$ in. most probably her weight is increasing bcz of eating so much $$$$$$$$

issue is not ogf generation capacity..its already there
issue is of cost of generation.
this is well known fact and is accepted by govt, WAAPADA nad media.

problem is that govt thermal plants are operated on oil or gas. govt is not receiving enough on bills so once subsidy over runs it cuts production from thermal

govt is running on its hydral capacity.


solution is gas import and improving the line losses from the 45% to standarad 15% plus increasing the billing for 200+ units
