What's new

UN peacekeepers refused to help as aid workers were raped in South Sudan

Thats Bullshit The money that was meant for Afghanistan and Iraq never ended up where it was supposed to.

This is just one of too many examples of what happened. When you invade a sovereign country under a pretext of Non-existent WMD's.

That's just one example but it doesn't hide the fact that hospitals, roads, schools, have been built with Western aid money.Don't get me started on equipping/training their new militaries. The only BS here is the stealing oil narative. What oil did A'stan had ?

I would urge you to throw in whatever you got. It seems for you it is justified to first invade and destroy a country and then take it resources by taxing them on their OWN re development with minimal effort

Perhaps you can show the link for such ill-fated development.

In both cases Irag or Afg''stan did they get their fair share of re-development efforts ?

As for taking their oil

http://www.nytimes.com/2013/06/03/w...-reaps-biggest-benefits-of-iraq-oil-boom.html

“We lost out,” said Michael Makovsky, a former Defense Department official in the Bush administration who worked on Iraq oil policy. “The Chinese had nothing to do with the war, but from an economic standpoint they are benefiting from it, and our Fifth Fleet and air forces are helping to assure their supply.”

The depth of China’s commitment here is evident in details large and small.

In the desert near the Iranian border, China recently built its own airport to ferry workers to Iraq’s southern oil fields, and there are plans to begin direct flights from Beijing and Shanghai to Baghdad soon. In fancy hotels in the port city of Basra, Chinese executives impress their hosts not just by speaking Arabic, but Iraqi-accented Arabic.

Notably, what the Chinese are not doing is complaining. Unlike the executives of Western oil giants like Exxon Mobil, the Chinese happily accept the strict terms of Iraq’s oil contracts, which yield only minimal profits. China is more interested in energy to fuel its economy than profits to enrich its oil giants.

.
Mod, I think that the thread does not belong here.

.
I think this is Chinese gesture to show that they are not happy. I have no doubt in bravery, as soldier of any country is just soldier fighting for his/her country, be it a Chinese, Pakistani or Indian.

No one is denying that money was spent. But where?

Ok.. So if I take your word for it. Where is the actual development ????

I mean yes the money has been take out and spent ' but not where it was supposed to be' there hardly any evidence suggesting that the amount of money disbursed has reflected to the proportion of amount of development that has taken place.

If it helps you to sleep any better with that Narrative, then here is the dark bitter reality that will bite hard:

On my first link you have acces to where money was spent. Was there theft, embezzlement ? Yes.Mostly with the complicity of the local regimes but this how it is in those countries.

About the stealing their resources narative,I'm glad that atleast on that point you're not saying anything after I showed you were Iraqi oil actually goes and who owns it now.

As for what those money did for A'stan look at their GDP growth rates. This would never have been possible under the 7th century regime of the taliban

Not exactly, It is very typical of you to blame anyone other than western descent. Because US also had paid for EU reconstruction after ww2---> marshall fund. There was no such embezzlement,. And secondly the embezzlement occurred from US side not the other way around.

I am glad that you agree with me ( Tacitly) in the narrative that US invasion on iraq was illegal and unjustified to give so steal the resources and put on their big corporation for stealing energy because you have shown a distinctive silence on that matter. I am glad we are on same page

Oh yes, quote the magical numbers to show how much developed te country is, when in reality the entire provinces are under the influence of TALIBAN

Except that I've clearly shown you that it's not the US taking the oil but China. This is an open and shut case.I know you're desperate to cling on to these fantasies but in the face of evidence one must show reason.

Numbers are real ,deal with it.Unless you expect them to suddenly become Switzerland .

Sorry my bad ...... it was CONGO

The air element was called in to support troops from the Pakistan Army's 21 Punjab Regiment. The Indians and Pakistanis are part of the UN's 'Blue Helmets' (peacekeepers) and were attacking a village named Loga where nine soldiers of the Bangladeshi contingent were killed on February 25.

The Pakistani infantry troops were flown to Loga, some 30 km north of Bunia, the headquarters of Ituri province, in Indian Air Force Mi-17 transport helicopters. In the seek-and-destroy mission against a base of the Lendu tribal militia of the Nationalist and Integrationist Front (FNI), the troops ran into a firefight that lasted more than three hours. The UN troops were fired at from hills around th

'As we were withdrawing to a new position, the militia aimed rockets and were closing in on us when an Indian attack helicopter came in,' Ihtibar Khan, one of two injured Pakistani soldiers, was quoted as telling a South African newspaper. Khan is in a military hospital in South Africa.

I wonder why the US itself didn't send any peacekeepers. After all, it was the US who orchestrated the split of Sudan. I think it is easier to criticize China who tried to clean the mess by contributing and losing two peacekeepers in Sudan, than to be responsible for your own mess.
