UAE & Saudi Deporting Pakistanis in thousands each month

The news is being twisted for no reasons but the fact is its not only Pakistanis who are being/had been deported from all over GCC esp KSA and UAE but the number includes almost all of Nationalities who basically come on labor visa and the main reason is the slump in labor market due to financial crises that had emerged in the region mainly because of slump in oil prices and another reason is Saudization of labor market under Vision 2030. There were reports regarding some shura member calling for scrutiny of Pakistanis before granting them visas then can U plz tell me that with millions of Pakistanis working in KSA only 69 were implicated for terror charges while there were other nationalities also. But yes main fault of these deportees is that they try to stay illegally in hope of making some money before finally going home as quite major chunk of these guys are labors as I pointed earlier.
The move of deporting illegal expats was announced back in 2014 and it has been implemented steadily:

Even Indians had been deported in masses back then:

Yes its very easy to say ......................you don't know the f****** Kafeel System in Gulf region mostly times foreigners specially Asians are victims of this spider's web (Iqama System).....My own brother he is in Saudia and last week he paid one year Iqama money to his Kafeel and that kafeel took his money and came back after few days and told him to pay him again Iqama money coz the first one he used it for personal matters.........and my brother couldn't do anything coz there was no paperwork, coz it all depends upon mutual understanding (If you ask your kafeel about payment transaction paperwork Arabs start threatening to deport you) and even there was paperwork for transaction who is going to give justice against Saudi......................here all laws for Foreigners specially for Asians..........for Arabs almost no laws....

Did anybody heard Saudis are cutting hand of Saudis for theft other than foreigners......??

I totally agree with U whatever U have said how many Kafeels exploit expats even threatning them with "Huroob" but govt has recently passed orders that it wud be the sponsor who would be held responsible for delaying in Iqama rewal. I know the Kafeel mafia has also got a way out of this but lets see how things turn now.

Also previously they wud hold your passport and keep iot with them thus making U totally Dependant upon them but now law had been passed where the employer can not take away employee passport.

Employers told not to keep expat passports

Everybody favors there citizens this is not new..Kafeel, all knows how they operate but still people deal with them they know the risk before..He may call your brother to pay money more than what required but this is how it works..Kafeel system is not prevalent in Qatar and UAE specially..
This current deportation is not nationality specif it is more related to crisis in construction industry due to Oil prices ..

Don't believe what Their Govt. Says....Arabs are born lawyers....its my personal experience.....Even in Kuwait their Govt. says that Pakistani Visas are not banned (Which are banned from last 6 years) but when you actually goes there in Ministry to apply for visa they don't give you visas......but officially they always deny about this..........

With regards to Kuwait yes new visas for Pakistanis are banned but there is a reason behind it which I can not discuss here but let me tell U that it takes two hands to clap. Again it might feel a bit harsh but the fact is that even knowing how expats are dealt here but still we keep on coming in like hoards here. Have they forced us to come here? Ofcourse not and secondly it all depends upon how your Govt takes care of U and how is your embassy looking after U. A clear example of this is that Philippines being small enough has strong embassy who looks after its citizens damn well. Every employer knows not to mess with a Pino as his/her embassy will get the heck out of their employer if he is wrongfully aggravated the Pino. Same hold good for likes of EU and US nationals as ofcourse no one dare mess with them.

I have already debuked in another thread that this news is fake and deportation center statistics can be looked up to verify it.

Well , to explain further

Oil companies hire labourers and engineers, if the companies make less profit or Economy is making "LOSS"

So , there is no more new projects being setup - Less hiring

Oil Price -> Determins profits for GCC countries
Less Oil Price -> Defcit in budget , country cancels projects
Cancelled project-> Less demand for international workers

  • The other considerable figure is , labourerer class who may be in GCC on expired visa

Once the oil prices stabalize , perhaps businss will pick up

oilBreakEvenChart1-01_0.png

Past 2 years oil prices were between 30-41 bucks as you can see from chart
all the countries were making

NEGATIVE PROFIT and registering MASSIVE loses , which is why Saudis tried to start a war in Yamen , to raise Oil Prices it did not worked

  • Oil prices since Jan are around 51-53 range
So you can see they are barly staying afloat as a economy

Honourable Azad Pakistan2009,

I mean no disrespect to you, it is just that the according to my info the chart quoted by CNBC does not correctly tell the current picture. You can rightly say that I am ‘Nit-picking, but $96-bbl oil price as B/E for Saudi Arabia is much too high. This being a scholarly forum, IMHO one should try to correct quoted figure when it appears to be obviously incorrect. Kindly permit me to explain:

Official Saudi Arabia’s 2017 budget is SR 890-billion with total revenues at SR 692-billion resulting in a short fall of SR198-billion (say 200-billion). Revenue from oil during 2017 is projected at SR 480-billion. Since Saudi Oil production is about 10-million bbl. per day net income to Saudi Arabia after production costs and royalties to producing companies is about $35-bbl of oil produced. In other words, at the international projected selling price of $55-bbl Saudi Arabian income from oil produced is projected at SR 480-billion.

https://mof.gov.sa/en/budget2017/Documents/The_National_Budget.pdf

In order to cover budget short fall of SR 200-billion, oil revenue needs to rise to SR 680-billion which translate into an income of $50- per bbl of the oil produced. This means Saudi Arabia needs to sell her oil at $70-per bbl.

Even though mine is just “Back of the envelope” calculation, I have been personally informed by a senior staff member of Saudi Aramco at the Asia Pacific oil conference (APPEC) in Singapore, September last year that Saudi Arabia needed $67-bbl oil price to balance her national budget.

Well every country should be visited with appropriate "Visa" , if someone is there illegal or if their work permit ended they should return earliest to Pakistan

I really wanna know how is the Pakistani government planning to resettle these people in Pakistan??

I am certain by the time this government changes the next one will have better planning , the present government have their hands tied

But I have read quite often in Arabic outlets , that even their own citizens with Masters degree (from Western countries ) are out of job making Shawarmas
a real story which I found just 2 days ago

1601_Oil_price.jpg

The Econmic crash that GCC countries faced between 2014-2016 shows how drastically their source of income was reduced

Saudis tried to kick up a storm after by launching wars in Yamen to try to raise oil prices however things did not work as planned

Due to the extraoridnary pressure on their economy , many mega projects were closed or never started and some countries also started to discuss imposing "TAX" on population just so they can break even

As the oil prices are going down, these Arab countries are feeling the heat and removing foreign workers in droves.
But the surprising thing to me is that they are deporting more from fellow muslim countries like Pakistan and Bangladesh than non Muslim nations like India and Philippines.
It's because it's only Pakistan that cries about Muslim brotherhood and stuff. No one gives a rat's about it bro. Everyone means business. And no country wants illegal immigrants.
