Russia and Turkey have to many interest conflicts in Syria Caucasia etc and if you look back in history they were bad enemys over a very long period of time... they will never establish a serious partnership with Russia as a alternative for the USA... Same goes for China and Chinas agressive action against muslims... how should Erdogan the self proclaimed protector of all muslims explain his voters that he suddenly make deals and good friendship with a muslim bashing nation like China?

Realistic Erdogans only option is turn towards EU ... but after all his trashtalking and blaming of almost any european politican there will come many hard to swallow claims from the EU...and Erdogan has to open his mouth wide and has to swallow them all... or Turkey will do a hard economy suicied crash landing...
European economy analyst give Turkey´s bank system one year befor a total collaps ... turkey export 44% of all their goods to Europe... Erdogan has no real choise anymore!

Actually until now Trump has not imposed any serious sanctions.If they start targeting turkish banks it will be devastating.There is a time and place for every action,now is clearly not the time for erdo to go head to head with usa.He has no friends left.Europeans distrust and dislike him,he has bad relations with almost all his neighbours as well as ME.Iran and Russia can be political allies of convinience,but will use him in syria and can't help him economically.That leaves beijing,who distrust muslim turks anyway due to the uyghur problem -direct opposite of erdogan ideology.Even if China gives them money it will come with its pound of flesh,with turkey becoming quasi vassal of china in economic sense or under chinese debt trap.Erdo wont go to IMF out of pride and because IMF comes with terms and restrictions on expenditure which is a humilation he cant take due to his grandiose sense of self.Unless something radical happens,or he makes up with orangehead and does serious reforms, within 1-1.5 yr max turkish economy may go full bust with mass defaults.Turkish economic collapse will be a negative for global economy too due to contagion.

i don't know what kind of media you read or they feed you.
But i personally have been to Xinjiang, the only thing bother me is the security there, but of course the security is exist because they need to protect the citizen, not to lock them up or oppressed them, the one who got lock up and interrogated is the one who came back from turkey, because the goverment don't wanna any ISIS member came back.
there is many Uighur in Shanghai and Beijing from student, restaurant owner, model, superstar, even high ranking official in Beijing.
they enjoy freedom of education to the best university this country can offer.
some of smart Uighur even continue to the US to persuit higher education.

Before the election something like this was sung for quite some time and now this. Thanks to trump Edogan now enjoys the support of his own party but also the opposition. The opposition is simply furious at the US policies. So I don't think Erdogan will even stumble let alone going down 'big league' but Turkey has entered an uncharted water for sure so difficulties are expected. If the Turkish nation remains united as it is right now Turkey will only come out stronger after the storm. A united nation can never be defeated or bullied it is as simple as that.
