U.S. Sending Commander to Repair Ties With Pakistan

Right now it seems that the Pakistani politicians are at the top of their careers. Considering that US has to actually appease Pakistani leaders right now, they can extract a lot of benefits from the US government if they can. There are multiple ways of doing it as all members would be familiar with.

Pakistan could easily demand even the most impractical think right and and make US think. However, time management would be most important for them to focus on. If the northern corridor gets created fully and Russia relents (for some clandestine gain that US offered her), there would be no options on the table.

They can all go to hell and so can our leadership be it civilian or the armed forces of this country. Frankly most of the Pakistanis don't even care anymore. We had enough of this toppi drama played by the forces in play here.

While engaged in a game of chess, one does not walk away in a huff when the other appears to be at an advantage. That just gives a walk-over to others.
Pakistan has always wanted to be a player at the big table. Why shy away now? If your leaders play well, you may win big.

The current Zardari-Gilani administration has many, many flaws but they do, do some things right. I mean just look at how they dealt with GHQ+Memogate, Courts+oppostion, and now as I write this Gilani is in Qatar talking to Arab friends on the southern side of the Persian Gulf while Zardari is hosting Iranians from the Northern side of the Gulf. Now that is two timing if I ever saw one!
Next week it may be US v Russia. Let's wait & watch.
