In this episode of Reporter, Arshad Sharif brings exclusive documents showing that the US Embassy in Pakistan has acquired around 400 houses in Islamabad alone and in January 2011 issued tenders for another 900 houses. Why the US Embassy needs more than 1300 houses in Islamabad alone and for what purposes? Is the Us waging a secret war in Pakistan and Raymond Davis was just one of the small cogs in the wheel of the secret war?

Their aim is clear to get control over Pakistan politics and get information of our strategic sites, these houses are places for planning crimes in Pakistan. Nothing else. Davis example must be enough for our establishment to move their backs against this covert criminal American network.

Interesting I see a lot of interest about Raymond on PDF, seems like a really big deal to Pakistan.

Lets see how it unravels there, is there a 2nd source on what you said?

So, we would overtly buy these houses with documents and everything and make ourselves openly identifiable to the Pakistanis that we are there to destabilize Pakistan?? Even if this were our end goal, would we not do this covertly (secretly) and through underground networks of dissatisfied Pakistanis. By the way, your President has been propped up by the Saudis and us from day one and that is an open one too. Why wont you think that we are doing all this to stabilize Pakistan and not destabilize?

Pakistan is a nation of 185 million people with the 5th largest army in the world. Only the people of Pakistan can stabilize their own country.

Why was there barely any U.S presence in Pakistan 20 years ago compared to today?

I doubt U.S. is sending so many of its nationals because it sincerely wants to stabilize Pakistan. U.S. has its own interests in the region, and U.S. knows that without Pakistan's cooperation, it can not win in Afghanistan and thus we hear American officials using terms like "AFPAK" and we see so many Raymond Davises roaming around Pakistan today.

And also its no secret that U.S. is unhappy with Pakistan being a growing nuclear power and Pakistan's close alliance with emerging superpower China.

I really dont think that we are looking to "win" in afghanistan. The target is to take out specific leaders and deal a great blow to the Al Qaeda infrastructure. That we have largely done. The succeeding Taliban is a mixed bag for us. Not all of them are our enemies and specific targets are still being eliminated ala Drone Strikes. I am sure we are in Pakistan for a very specific mission fully discussed with the military in Pakistan, and taking them on board. And I dont think this mission includes destabilizing Pakistan, which would be a massive mission and would require a massive intelligence budget. And that would be questioned here in the US as well.

Anyone who doubts American intentions have to first point out the specific missions we are trying to achieve in Pakistan and what they think might be the budget required to achieve that. If people of Pakistan think that they can be destabilized so easily by buying a bunch of houses and a couple of CIA operatives getting caught, then that requires re-evaluating. It is no secret that the US wants to maintain an expanded embassy in Islamabad for the additional staff to vet WoT accounting, logistics etc. and the houses could be for those personnel as well. We may also be needing houses for maintaining permanent security personnel in Islamabad. Is it all clear for whom these houses are for? I think we are jumping the gun quite a bit here.

One incident that I can recall is the suicide bombing in Hangu last year, where the suicide bomber blew up, but his backup handler was caught by the intelligence guys. Though the handler just was too stupid to be a spy since he had the ID Card to the Brgram Airbase still in his under wear. This is not the first that Raymond Davis is caught. RD is significant see he was caught with pictures of Pakistani Military Installations. So, we know where the terrorists are being trained.

You can fool some of the people some of the time, but you can't fool all the people all the time.

.
Even if you are correct, it is routine for intelligence agencies to keep tabs on military installations of other countries. Not sure we can conclude that the US is trying to destabilize Pak because of this.

.
Agreed but training terrorists inside the Bagram Airbase with the help of Arabic speaking spies that are fluent in Quran and Hadees does not fit the category. The bombing in the ISI Building last year in Lahore had a 100% lab chemical match with ISAF connected road construction company in Afghansitan, so how is rock blasting material for road construction ended up infront of the ISI Building?

.
How does pissing off the ISI help us evolve a joint strategy with the Pak Army to fight the Taliban in the tribal belt? Why have the US drones targeted the TTP leadership if you are insinuating that we are training them inside the Bagram Airbase at the same time? The chemicals from the road construction company could easily have been stolen. Stealing blast dynamites/RDX from mines is a very happening thing. I mean it is Afghanistan - an insider could easily pass it on. That's a tenuous connection. But I am not clear on what the CIA has to gain by pissing off the ISI and the Pak Army and at the same time asking for their cooperation. Not to mention the billions in WoT payments we send over to Pakistan. Unless you are saying that the military-industrial complex in the US is deliberately keeping the fuse on, so they can reap some contracts, I am finding it difficult to connect the dots. The US people are skeptical about our military industrial complex and there might be something here but I hope Pakistan exposes that if that's truly the case. Because, you'll be doing us a big service as well.
