What was it you said earlier? China was the parasite in this cooperation? Then there's no need for ESA to gain something since China is the parasite according to you.

And no, ESA did not help China sending the moon rover on the Moon dickhead. Because China launched the damn rocket and the lander on her own. ESA only provided assistance so we know the exact locations of the lander during it's journey. ESA did not provide any material, did not help build the rocket or the lander or the rover. So it's incorrect to say ESA helped China sending the rover on the moon.

my problem is, i have not so much trust in china. We europeans have not that much connection with them. That could change in future. We plan a moon base. Why not work together?

Win-win cooperation? EU has helped China, so China has win in one turn. Should China help EU to win Another turn? Win-win cooperation?

Europe has help tracking the spacecraft to moon, in return China willing to share some data collected from moon, there is no free lunch or charity with ESA.

Chinese is still in the initial phase of space exploration, similar to what the US and USSR achieved in 1950 - 1960s.
The cooperation with US ( if any ) is the good solution to shorten the period of self-study and Chinese could get what the US achieved several decades ago for short time.

Don't be so naive, Americans are not idiots, if they don't foresee any interests to have cooperation with China, they will tell China to get lost, China can only have a wet dream to learn anything from them not even the 1960s tech. American interest to cooperation with China is to learn what China is up to in space and monitor Chinese's space program more closely.
