About SSG its True indeed... i heard it before... from a very close friend who is serving in SSG in those area's .. being in SSG he sent me alot of his pics and the dead terrorists .. and believe me i saw pics ..what they do to those scums is indeed terrorizing .. Infact his team is called the Butchers ..

Instead of feeling proud about war crimes committed by the SSG, such things should never be brought out in the open.

I give a damn about what treatment the Taliban receive at the hands of the SSG, but it should be kept under covers. We need to be smart about dirty work. Keep on doing the dirty work but neither record it nor discuss it.

I have similar reservations about the Military Courts and 21st Amendment. When the military already controls the flow of information in the war zone; there is no need to get into this legal mess.

Just catch the terrorists, interrogate and torture them, then kill and burn their bodies, and then hide their remains from all public. No need to bring such activities out into the open. The military can easily deny that they ever arrested some Mr. XYZ. Such a course of action will allow PLAUSIBLE DENIABILITY for the military.

It would have been better to do all the dirty stuff under the table rather than making a mockery of the constitution.

Northern Light Infantry, they protect the northern areas of Pakistan, based in Gilgit area mostly , it were actually the NLI who fought in Kargil.

I don't believe religious orientations play any meaningful role in abilities of a professional army,they do only in militias.

A few days ago I had a chance to meet my cousin who is deployed in Tirah Valley along with the unit.
The same area where the unfortunate incident with 35 Punjab took place.
And my cousin was caught in a yet another ttp bush in the area.I don't think this incident went public or not,these things happen there on a daily basis.
10 ttp gunmen wrecked havoc on the Jawans.
Now this is a bit surprising bcz Tirah is already cleared but I guess Talidogs do sneak in occasionally.
Long story short,SSG was invited to the rescue and all of them were killed save two who were given a 'fair treatment' by the SSG for the purpose of sending the video of their respective fates to the Talidogs.
These mind games have to be played in order to retard their morale.
My cousin was telling me ajeeb things.
He said that the Talidogs are not afraid of the regular infantry the least bit and they don't even consider them an obstacle.This is interesting considering that most of the beating they get is by the regular troops.The kill ratio of the troops is also more than satisfactory. Great in fact.
But still...only God knows why they are so scared of the SSG alone.
Whenever they get a hint of SSG in the area,my cousin said,they immediately leave positions and tell each other to retreat.
"Pagal agay hen ab niklo"
(Mad guys have approached,so retreat) is what they tell each other on the arrival of SSG guys.
That is why some people make sarcastic comments that ZARB E AZB is being done by SSG and the troops are on a supportive role there.Off course this is said on a lighter note as a joke but still it says a lot about the SSG.

Cobras have become a symbol of terror and painful death for the Taliban.
That's why PA is considering more attack helis from Russia,China etc.
May Allah preserve our SSG guys.

I would suggest that you dont dwell into the operational activities of any outfit of the PA, what you are saying about the ssg would amount to warcrimes which is something the PA will always deny, my advice is that its best to keep restricted matters that you knowof to yourself instead of trying to show off on a international open forum.

I'm surprised .. Several members of my family have served in the region ... Bith FATA and in Swat operations ... I see s few pics... But everybody was like a big no no.. So I suggest you don't share stuff like that here ...

But yeah shit happens and blown up crispy taliban look really tasty ...
