Not until you see your mother or sister burn under the heat of an explosion do you actually feel it.

In this case, the cost is millions of such mothers and sisters from both sides.
Because now, the people who push buttons on both sides have the ability to push , survive and run.
Previously they would push and expect their end as well, that is no longer the case on both sides.
