Two Indian soldiers killed in LoC skirmish: Indian army

. . .
Two Indian soldiers were killed on Tuesday in a gunfight with unidentified gunmen near the Line of Control (LoC) that divides the contested Himalayan region of Kashmir between India and Pakistan, an Indian military official said.

The official said troops were on a regular patrol near Mendhar, 220 km (140 miles) north of the Indian city of Jammu when they saw some "suspicious movement half a kilometre inside our territory".

"Our troops challenged them to surrender but they were fired upon," said Rajesh K Kalia, spokesman for the Indian army's Northern Command.

The incident came two days after a clash along the LoC in which Pakistan said one of its soldiers was killed when Indian troops crossed the highly militarised line between the nuclear-armed neighbours.
Firing and small skirmishes between the two countries are common along the LoC, despite slowly improving ties in recent years. The Indian army says eight of its soldiers were killed in 2012, in 75 incidents. (Reporting By Frank Jack Daniel, editing by Ross Colvi

Congress party has no love for nation....what the hell.....very depressing
WTF has the Congress party gotta do with this? :what: Do you expect MM Singh, Sonia and her beloved son General Rahul to stand on the LoC waving the white flag?

Or raiding the Pakistani posts with dandas belonging to the Delhi Police? :D

They mutilated one body very badly.

They are trying the same thing they did in Kargil. Is Pakistan itching for a war ? :azn:

Mutilating is another euphmism for beheading. some report clearly suggest they were beheaded.

I said earlier, India army should reply with double the intensity.

The army should do it without involving the ******* politicians.

Seriously, are you dumb?!

The Indian Army is a highly professional force not a rogue rag tag militia, they wont do anything without orders.
The GOI needs to protect the whole nations and its citizens, and risking an escalation because of this incident is not worth it.

beheaded?? that is too far we need to hit back for this it's one thing killing our troops but what animals would behead them? this is sickening!

Sadly this isn't the first time PA has done such things. It is the Islamic fundamentalism that grips Pakistan to blame. Retaliation is one thing but mutilating bodies is another, proffesionalism seems non-existent when we hear about these incidents.

Loss of a life be it an Army or a Civilian is never Good , Life is precious it is not going to come again in this world .

My Sympathies with the families of the Soldiers .

All that said , India totally had it coming , we are not some 3rd Rate Army who will only watch when IA kills one of our soldiers & do nothing , we will strike back one way or another .

now both the countries have to cool their heads otherwise this is going to get ugly pretty soon , & very fast . and no one is going to end up liking it.

One Jawan body is very badly mutilated

RIP to the soldiers. Jai Hind

I think, exchange of fire is a normal thing even I believe that crossing over the LOC is not so surprising. It gets the momentum when soldiers die in exchange of fire.
