How you personally feel about UN does not matter. Whether Turkey and Syria are UN members do matter. Being UN members they are subject to UN regulations.

Under international law, only the internationally recognized government of a state has the authority to invite foreign troops on its soil. Otherwise, it is an illegal presence.

Even using the just war argument needs UN approval. That's why the US sought UNSC recognition to invade Iraq for the second time.

UNSC did not gave authority. Hence, US invasion was illegal and required ICJ action.
