It's not just about the protectşon level of the helmets. Both Ops-core and classic kevlar helmets like MICH and PASGT forms are providing same protection levels but ops core ones have advantage to bounching ammunution because ıt provides lower silhouette and much more curved form. Like we have seen from this example...

Well, you could eliminate that effect in tanks by positioning yourself at an elevated location. Same tactic should work here then... suddenly I'm less impressed

still though... it should be lighter than PASGT with better protection albeit situational.
