Every air to air missile must first tested from surface to air before the air to air test. Now go and Troll somewhere else.

Thank to data link our missiles will be used with the help of AWACS. A scenario with a awacs, F16 don't use ther radar so the enemy can not see. Mean time awacs is using the radar from stand-off range, share it with the F16 and F16 is firing the missile and see it with the radar of the Awacs:-).

I have been wondering, wouldn't it be possible for a certain country to reverse engineer Sidewinder with new seeker, and electronics? Wouldn't it be much cheaper than making a missile from scratch?

I have a feeling that every country that develops a missile dismantles other missiles to figure out how they work.

It will be great for Pakistani F-16's... Thats for sure. Afterall US sold you AMRAAM with limited numbers... About JF17, You need China's permission for that.

Perhaps a different RF Seeker (sourced from China) for the BVR Merlin/Bozdogan Missile; compatible with the KLJ-7A Radar, but the WVR Peregrine/Gokdogan shouldn't have an issue being integrated, Correct? Unless the Missile has to be integrated vis-a-vi Avionics or other Software.

Also, Considering Pakistan's Help to the US with the Afghan Peace Process, Pakistan should request the US allow Pakistan to upgrade its F-16s in Turkey; so that Pakistan can integrate these missiles and a Turkish AESA Radar.

At the very least, if Pakistan has 76 AESA equipped and advanced missile armed F-16s, it will have a change to deal with any 4th gen Fighter from India.

Hopefully Pakistan can get more F-16s, but should be bold enough to go for at least one Squadron of J-10 NOW, to signal Pakistan has options and will start shifting completely to the Chinese camp if it is not taken seriously by the US.

A new missile program is announced by the head of Tübitak SAGE. He didn't highlight any details but just a name. Akdoğan. Akdoğan is one of the biggest member of falcon bird family so It is believed Akdoğan may be the longer range variant of Goktuğ family A2A missiles that will be the competitor of Meteor supersonic BVR. It is known that Tubitak SAGe is working on RamJet propulsion and there is an active supersonic anti-ship missile development program.

What is the range of both WVR and BVR missiles ? @cabatli_53
unfortunately he is unable to answer your question anymore, he left already , due to the significant importance of those missiles we will never know the ranges but we can predict, WVR missile is larger than AIM9X, BVR is almost same with aim120 in size.

1- No press release yet. A short-range A-A missile with an IIR seeker.
2- Göktuğ Bozdoğan WVR missile with IIR seeker
3- Göktuğ BVR missile with radar homing

These are Tubitak's anti-air group. There is also the group of Aselsan which is called as Hisar. https://www.savunmasanayist.com/porsav-cok-alcak-irtifa-hava-savunma-fuzesi/

Maybe #1 is the regular WVR missile, and #2 is a long range (BVR ?) IR missile like the Mica IR with the #3 being the RF guided BVR missile

Considering #1 and #2 are IR guided, hopefully Pakistan can acquire it and integrate it into the JF-17, as an option. At the very least the longer range IR missile (#2) should be integrated onto the JF-17 to give it a robust capability against a lower RCS enemy fighter doing RF jamming.
