Turkish Red Crescent is continuing to help Arakan Muslims who have entered Bangladesh after fleeing acts of
violence in Myanmar's Arakan state.
Arakan Muslims are trying to survive in villages, forested areas or refugee camps in Bangladesh where they entered illegally as they were faced with threat of death, imprisonment and rape in Myanmar due to their religious beliefs.
Turkish Red Crescent, which is working together with Bangladeshi Red Crescent, is providing food to Arakan Muslims.
Omer Kemal Borali, an official from Red Crescent, told AA that they were regularly distributing food everyday,
adding that they provided food packages, each 20 kg, to 500 families today.
