Turkey's action is actually embarrassing its European allies and the US,the reason their response is ambiguous. An ally (Turkey) is attacking another ally (Kurdish forces) who were an indispensable partner in the fight against ISIS. You just can't dump one or another.

PKK/PYD is not an ally of Turks and never will be. What you don’t get is the characteristics of Turks in such matters. When situation got out of control, Turks don’t make simple calculations when It is our country which is the actual matter. That is what Ataturk tought us. It is the reason many call Turks like crazy. It is the reason the soldiers of Turkish Army is considered tens of million. You should realize that there are just two forces in Syria that have some effect to stop Turkish actions. If you put France or German like states in front of Turkish Army to protect a terrorist organization you name as ally, then You should certainly be sure that Turks won’t step back to crush them togather with terrorists. France like states in front of us just make Turks more agressive to crush enemy. PyD should pray US not to let them alone othewise, European can not save them.

Despite what some Kurds claimed,France will not deploy more troops or launch any other operation in Syria outside the international coalition. The only French presence there is special forces training and coordinating Kurdish forces against ISIS.

I answered to the Turks here claiming Manbij will be taken and US-led forces on their way will just be attacked while they expect no retaliations. Only delusionals think Turkey will get into a frontal confrontation with US forces. Unless there's some sort of agreement with the US,Turkey ain't moving a finger.

I heard some groups are protesting against Turkey in Idlib saying we made a deal with Putin on Ghouta...As if Turkey has any power so deep in Syria, what's worse is that these people are so delusional they probably believe in the story and might even try to take revenge by making terror attacks in Turkey.
