It will happen, we will have losses. There's nothing we can do about it but train and adapt against it. We still use Tanks dispite profiliation of ATGMs. We still use Soldiers on the ground even though there's planes that can fly above.

This incident and the others like it, they will draw up classes in military school study how and why it happened, they will create plans to minimise such incidents from happening. We are learning, we are getting better... Look at the americans greatest military power on earth, yet they've lost dozens of helicopters... RPGs shot Chinooks out of the sky, raid on Bin-Laden they lost one of their stealth helicopters due to an 'Accident'...

light attack helicopters are ideal for this environment. A heavy helicopter would emmit more IR radiation and would be an even easier target for MANPADS. You don't know what you're talking about.​
