Turkish Peace Operations in Syria (Operation Olive Branch) Updates & Discussions

I think they are trying to show that everything is under control
Yes i think its just a politic statement maybe message for russia or US

Without the US support we would push them out very easily because they're controlling Arab lands and many Arabs don't even want them, the Kurdish presence isn't that large in Syria, they only hold the majority in Afrin, Kobani, Qamishli(somewhat) and some parts of Northern East but that's it. They makeup %5 of the population but now control over %35 of the country...We just need to persuade the US and start an operation, US right now doesn't see any alternatives to YPG that's why they keep supporting them.

Without US support they're nothing, it's the US support that is the decisive factor here. Also Peshmerga without US support would've lost Arbil to IS, it's that when Arbil was being struck by IS artillery that the US launched the air campaign.

A frontier region in Syria can not be captured fully. The only way to secure the capture of such places goes trough centralizing them by establishing outpost zones at South, which basically is to go deeper. But then it is Assad's AO there. Not to mention about AT (arama tarama) activities and IEDs that are uncleared despite they already got rid of hundreds of them.
Good luck to our boys over there, lets hope that they'll be safe.

Which means it has been finaly captured by FSA/TSK?

FSA lost too much soldiers. RIP.
Yes , job is done erasing almost all DAESH terrorists. Tomorrow we can speculate more , if the negotiations with Mattis are completed. Russia is under severe pressure in Europe.

Europe has no word in Syria. It does not matter what they say and what they think.

It's propaganda to keep off Assad from advancing to Albab maybe.

And don't forget the currently ongoing negotiations in Astana.

Severe urban clashes .
Should we level them to ground, as happened in Grozny and Aleppo ?

FSA have evacuated to civilians from El-Bab, TAF sensitivity about civilians thats why this operation take long time, care about civilians, Mine clearance from area and rescue civilians. DEASH wasnt give permition to move civilians from el-bab, they killed many civilians while they flee to TAF.

(mainstream) reports of 24+ people died from Turkish shelling at Al Bab, which is no surprise as video footage showed the whole town destroyed by airpower/artillery. This also goes well in conjunction with the strategy they deploy using tanks in line formation, old and outdated, causes many civ casualties in urban warfare.
