Turkish Peace Operations in Syria (Operation Olive Branch) Updates & Discussions

I know its not possible.
I know just saying those kinds of simple statements, we will see a lot of them mostly pushed by PKK supporters to save their buddies in Syria. You already see them on Twitter cheering on ISIS against us.

Looks like soldiers lost Aqil Hill trying to take a break from all day all night fighting when the suicide vehicles attacked them. In the first video the soldier says that they went into their vehicles because of the severe cold, 2nd video talks about how they were all wet and cold and tried to relax some when there was a pause in fighting. Then fighting erupted and suicide vehicles came.

Turkey isn't really against the creation of a Kurdish state in northern Syria. Turkey's main concern is that the YPG has direct links with the PKK.

We are. Barzani and PKK are the same shit. Both threats towards the republic of turkey. We dont trust any of them let the kurds have their small autonomy in iraq and thats it.

We don't trust any of them, but we can tolerate Barzani Irak kurdistan because they are not linked to PKK contrary to YPG. And it good PR, saying we don't hate the kurd but only the PKK, and they are good tool against the Iraki govt which tolerat PKK's base in Irak.

Barzani's rule is not guarenteed. Talabani's faction is perfectly fine PKK. Barzani represents the more traditional, tribal structure of the society. He wants power for himself and his tribal allies. He dont feel much of a nationalist responsibility. But it doesnt changes the fact that a lot of Iraqi Kurds support PKK and nationalist agency. If Barzani is taken out, they might get into power.

Thats another problem barzani might have a mor epro turkey view but iraqi kurds whether KDP or PUK are both pro PKK and they both aim at turkey.

TBH hurshit makes me laugh as well, I think we need him around :)

Not sure how true this is:

Looks like a very bad deal to Turkey.

It looks fine our main priority are the syrian refugees and PKK.

It only looks fine if you only care for your own people. If the people of Syria doesn't want a family based dictatorship any longer, why force it?

Why force someone who has slaughtered more than 300.000 people, who deliberately is using barrel bombs, chlor bombs, and used chemical weapons (all confirmed).

Turkey is no longer a small economy or power, who should stay defensive. Turkey is one of the strongest militaries in the globe, and it has game changing technologies in this region. The primary goal should stay - cleaning all terrorists from within our borders in order to create a safe buffer-zone, this will also help decreasing the number of refugees in our soils.

We can deal with PKK on our own, even though European countries and USA is supporting it. We don't need any help from a dictator who can't even defend his nation, even though he is receiving all the help from Iran, Hezbollah and Russia.

This deal, will result in hatred towards Turkey, the 3 million Syrians will become a real trouble if we start working with the guy who caused all of this. Besides the refugees, we will drag the hatred from the people of Syria in Syria, and many Sunni Arab.

This deal is for a weak country, a country at the size of Damascus. It's a nice deal for Assad, Turkey will help gaining his dictatorship, and furthermore indirectly Turkey will help him killing the people of Syria.

Dosn't really matter....contrary to PKK, Iraki Kurs had a "govt" which means they have adminstration, a army not hidden, people they must feed, a territory....all of them we can target.

Even if Barzani faill their new govt cannot permit itself to become Turkey ennemy.....hell without Turkey to sell their oil they have no hope to oppose iraki govt.

This is the perfect deal. We should go for it if this is true. Dont care about Arabs or Us backed Kurds. We need secular leader in Syria to counter extremist muslims. Fsa and others cant even pick a leader we have to think what is wright for our country !
