Supply line and logistic problems. You shouldn't forget that the loss of Leopards is much higher than M-60 A3 and M-60T. Old Leopards have a secondary armament coaxial 7.62 mm machine gun only.
M 60's have under armor protected secondary armament 12.7 mm heavy machine gun.
Leopard's supply chain is too difficult for you. You can't repair them on the battlefield.
M-60T are modular and 25 years younger.
Guess why we used only PzH2000 , Mraps and IFVs in Afghanistan. We could also have transported 60 ton Leos with Antonovs as Canadian allies did,
but we followed a high mobility strategy backed by close air support.

mete yarar says : none of our soldiers were killed by bullet in syria

The last Leo-2 A4 was built March 1992 as Lot 8. 25 years ago. I don't know the lot origin of the Turkish A4's. Possible that they are from Lot 1 and 2 early 80's.
NG-upgrade of Aselsan with electric turret drive, remote secondary weapon station, ballistic add on armor, mine protection and other features would have had made the tanks to top front line tanks.
Leo-NG is 5 ton heavier than the original.

In 21th century tanks are rarely needed unless enemy has their own heavy armor, they are more about boasting about power. Number of tanks should have been minimal in Syria and should have been mostly stationed in defensive positions away from frontlines. Lighter and mobile vehicles and definietly something in arma/pars line is needed.

"Akıbeti hakkında bilgi alınamamıştır" "No information gathered" is unacceptable for such an army as ours.
